SOURCE: My Konka KLC-1508U was working fine, last week, I

hello!the problem is not on the power cord it is on the backlight of your tv (a cold cathode lamp)this needs to be replace you can reach the cathode lamp by disassembling the screen/monitor of your tv the lamp is place at the top and bottom of the screen be very careful when doing this.replacement is available online at shopjimmy.com.

sometimes the problem is on the inverterboard the inverterboard is the one supplying a current to the lamp the input voltage of the inverterboard is 24v so you have to check the input voltage from the power supply to the inverter board.a poor solder from the terminal post of the power supply to the inverterboard will also cause the problem.so resolder them.reminder..always unplug the tv before working on it..goodluck!A four thumbs up is much appreciated for answering your free question..

There is no power at all. Last night the TV kept switching itself back on after being switched off. Now today nothing.

Unplug the tv for at least a minute and try again. or you may have lost your power supply on the tv, usually just a cap gets fried and can be fixed fairly easily with some soldering experience.

We have perfect sound but only a thin horizontal line in the middle of the screen.

this is a capacitor that has gone bad in the vertical delfection stage of the tv. it is an very easy and cheap fix if you know someone who knows how to solder and replace electronic components. If not then you'll just have to get another tv as taking it into a tv repair shop is not worth the cost. You could get another tv for what they will charge you to repair it,

Help me with my tv

My TV did the same thing, as alot of other customers did too. You have to fix the VCR to align right because the on/off switch is connected to it somehow. Apparently this is a common problem with this TV. Now I did fix the on/off problem, but at times my TV will just quit working (can't change channels, turn up volume, or anything). After "messing" with it for about thirty minutes I did get it to work again. By messing with it, I mean hitting it slightly on the side or back. It seems like there may be a loose connection. With all of the problems we have had with this TV I am sure I will not buy this brand again. Our TV was manufactured in 2003 which is not old at all. I had an old Sanyo that lasted for twenty years.
