Sometimes after a good knock on the side the cylinder will bind and not work correctly. Remove the head and make sure that the cylinder moves easily up and down. If cylinder is ok, then most likely the adjustment on the pushing lever set too low. New pushing lever does not come with the adjustment screw and lock nut. Adjust the screw up or down for best firing position. If the adjustment screw is in place and adjusted, make sure that the plunger is not sticking within the valve(plunger makes contact with the adjustment screw on the pushing lever). With pushing lever removed, the plunger should move easily in and out. Good luck
SOURCE: Hitachi Framing Gun Not Firing - Bad Battery?
Does the fan run and the light blink ont he nailer? I have one that I just bought. I put in the wrong type of nails and got one stuck. I had to take the front apart to clear it and now the damm thing wont fire. The green light blinks and the gas cartridge is basically full, even the fan does run after I release the push lever, but no fire???
I wonder if yours is the same as mine did fire for a couple nails first just fine then got jammed...
I will try to charge the battery more.... MAybe like yours it needs a strong charge for the spark...

SOURCE: NV65ah Hitachi nail gun "how do you remove the trigger piston"??
If you do not have a breakdown of the gun go here www.toolpartsdirect.com and select brand, then select coil nailer, finally look for your model number. With breakdown, find parts labeled 51 thru 54. The trigger pin (#53) and the retaining ring (#21) hold the trigger. Remove these then remove the trigger. Find several #51 roll pins on the gun and punch out the uppermost pin where the trigger valve is located (3mm size). The uppermost rollpin holds the trigger valve in-place. After you have removed the rollpin/s connect air supply to pop-out the trigger valve. Caution, use a heavy glove (or reduce pressure) to catch valve as it can come out with force. When incerting the rebuilt valve, use caution not to cut new orings as the valve is pushed in. Good luck and email if you have more questions.

When you cleaned it, you may have pinched the large brown o-ring that is around the fan. Take gun apart again and reassemble. before you place the orange head valve cover on, press the nose of the gun into a wood surface and assure the o-ring goes into chamber unrestricted. Basically, the aluminum fingers of the cylinder should not pinch off the o-ring.
Testimonial: "I ordered a rebuild kit and this took care of the problem!(spark plug, new filter o ring etc) Thanks for all the assistance!!!"

could need a good cleaning or I would check the gas cartridge for the expiration date. It is on the bottom. but a good cleaning would probably help. If you don;t have the owners manual or cleaning manual you can go to Paslode.com and download one for your tool.
