SOURCE: sharp xr-1x is stuck in standby mode. just

hold down the menu, enter, and down arrow buttons then press the on button. this will reset the lamp timer. if it's not working, you may have a controller issue (main board).

On my Sharp XR-30x projector I have all three lights lit up red when I plug it in and I just put a new bulb in

did you reset the lamp hours counter ?? see the leaflet that came with the new lamp unit.
It might be locked by the max hours of the counter.

sounds like it is overheating -- are the fans installed pointing the correct direction, all spinning up well?

Projector Input is on DVI - Video. HDMI cable thru an adapter is plugged into DVI port. When av receiver has "TV" selected; Picture is projected. When Blu-Ray is selected; there is no picture....

The Sharp XR-30X will display 720P and 1080i. The Blu-Ray player is trying to send 1080P which requires a handshake. It sounds like you might have to go into the Blu-Ray player and tell it to use 1080i.
