SOURCE: Simmons Prohunter Model 517710 won't shoot a group
You SHOULD send it back. There is something loose inside the scope. Even the worst Simmons scope will get you to 2"-3" group. Also, when you replace it, you might want to consider their (or Nikons) shotgun scopes. They are built to with stand the power of the higher centerfire calibers and magnum shotgun shells.

Oh me, that was fun I have not got out my books for so long. Ok this is from Hornady Handbook Starting load for the 200 gr RN Bullet using H4895 is 34.3 gr using a Remington case with a Federal 210 Primer Max C.O.L. (Cart.over all length) is 1.920. Max load for this is 39.0 gr. Work up, look for case bulging & primer flowing. Be carefull.
SOURCE: I need a manual for a euroarms model 1861
Ok, I do not know of a manual for your gun. The main thing is learning to handle, load and shoot a muzzle loading gun. Here is a link to You Tube to see others firing similar guns. >> Here 460 grain Lyman conical bullet would be about 30 grains of black powder or FFg in Pyrodex. See load chart >> here > here

All I can tell you is that Beeman is the maker, and Marksman is just a model.
