X ray film

Not quite sure what you are asking, but: any unexposed or undeveloped photograhic film ie spool or film cartridge will react to exposure by x-rays. X-ray film as such is more sensitive to X-radiation and captures an image faster. If you are looking for film to take "X-ray" photos - It don't exist. It is the radioactive source that creates the x-rays not the film.

Traveling

Film should be okay for a couple of trips through the x-ray machines. If you want to be sure, put it into a clear plastic bag and request visual inspection instead of x-ray. It'll take longer, but TSA is obligated to visually inspect items if you so request.

Fuji instax mini 7s

Buy some new instant film. The one in the camera probably got veiled by being exposed to x-rays.

Fuji instax mini 25 film can go through x ray?

X-rays can fog many types of film. If you are flying you can declare that you have film, and have them manually inspect it rather than sending it through the x-ray machine.

I want to ask a friend to bring a few packs of Instax film from the US for me and I want to know how the x ray machines might affect the undeveloped film. My friend would bring them here to me in Mexico...

Films 800 and higher (800, 1600, 3200 iso), should not go thru the x-ray. I recently took a lot of films on holidays in the US, the security staff were very helpful and understanding. I put my high iso films and instax in a clear ziplock bag, and asked for hand inspection, they do a swab to check for whatever they are screening for. The x-ray machine has a sign that says films under 800 are OK in the machine, that means 400, 200, 100 etc. not 800.

There is a risk if you put it in the checked baggage, as sometimes this is x-rayed, and that's supposed to be even stronger x-ray.

So, take your film in a clear ziplock to the security people and ask for hand inspection due to 800 iso. Couple of times I was asked extra questions, they asked to see the camera, I explained it's big in Japan. Another time they asked me to open the package, opening the cardboard package, and even opening the silver wrapper is OK because the film is still safe inside it's black plastic cartridge.

Are x-ray safe?

Your film, maybe. Some sources say that you'd have to run your film through -many- Xray machines to even begin to fog it, but many traveling photographers say they've had film fogged or ruined this way. Better to have them physically inspect your film rolls. Just tell them you have film and don't wish to run the risk of it being fogged, and would they please manually inspect it. Your camcorder, highly unlikely. FYI, some photographers were puttting their film in lead bags. But some airports have Xray machines that step up the power if they cannot see through something, resulting in guaranteed fogged film.
