Set fan setting to auto and not high or low setting. Fan will cycle with compressor after setting set to auto or " au" if a digital thermostat.

my rv just has on our auto with fan it will cycle with the compressor in auto will run all the time in on as long as you are in cooling

bad compressor relay on control board. The relay is not opening the circuit, allowing the compressor to stay running when unit is turned off. This overheats the compressor and opens a thermal disk shutting the compressor off. When thermal disk cools down, the compressor restarts under load and trips breaker.

First replaced the thermostat then check on condenser unit that's outside .make sure the fan is running when compressor runs .if not there is your issue .If fan runs and compressor keep shutting off you might have a dirty coil so clean it out with water or you might have a leak in the system causing unit to shut off on low pressure .if this is the case you need to call a service technician .
Try simple things first like clean coil ,capicator and fan operation.

Bad fan motor I suspect The windings are bad causing the motor to over heat sending the motor into thermal overload. would suggest the replacement of motor. Good Luck on repairs

Either your fan is stuck due to age or grime or is shot

if the fan does not provide cooling then the unit goes into thermal protection mode and shuts down

Your compressor is trying to restart after it shuts off which is causing a power draw down changing the sound of the fan speed change. Check voltage power supply and insure that the power supply cord is heavy enough to carry the necessary load.
