Code 5 is a error on the safety valve. This could from a bad electric ignightor. I am not familiar with the grill so I am not sire if it has an electronic coil that heats up or just a popper to ignight. There could also be a obstruction in the gas line. It is a Gas Appliance and needs repair by a qualified gas registered technician. It is a generic code for 'no flame'.

Toyo laser 300 returning e2 error. Fuel flow seems fine, flows out of filter area or drain screw when valves are open. Yellow flame visible through viewing window, then will throw the code and stop. I...

Sorry I know nothing about the model - just wanted to say a yellow flame isn't right.
When a heater burns with a yellow flame it is inefficient, producing an excess of soot or carbon and producing an excess of carbon monoxide, a dangerous poisonous gas.

A blue flame is correct and efficient and ideally there should not even be yellow tips to the flame.

On the error code list, I'm getting an error code of Open Rollout, How do you fix that?

a 'roll-out' safety switch it a small button looking device with a smaller tab/button sticking out of it, near the gas injection manifold. has 2 wires attached. the reset button is generally between these wires. it's designed to shut the unit off, by breaking the power circuit, if flame ignition causes fire to back flash out of the fire box. Press the little button and try relighting. if the roll-out pops again, and there was no roll out of flame, you made need to replace it.

HF code on hayward 200fdn pool heater?replaced gas valve still have same code. What now?

HF
Flame present with gas valve "OFF" error
If flame is sensed with the gas valve off the control will go into lockout. The blower will run until error condition is corrected. When corrected, control will run blower for 5 s then automatically restart after 2 minutes.
the error might be caused by a faulty flame sensor. i have heard of this happening the other way (carbon blocks sensor causing no ignite)

Noritz Boiler NH-1501-DV-NG Shuts off at radom times with blinking error code 123

error code 123 is a flame rod sensor problem. Chances are the flame rod is sending a weak signal to the control unit. Check for a loose flame rod electrical connector. Peek in the flame inspection windows to ensure there is a proper flame on that side of the burner. If non of the above then try removing the flame rod and cleaning with 400 grit sandpaper or replace it with part order # SKC7448 (called an Ignition plug ELV & Packing EHK SETV)

Carrier weathermaker 8000 cycle problems

When the furnace fires and then 1 second later the flame quits, that's your flame sensor/flame rod. Its the lil metal rod at the burner section, that the flame passes across/comes in contact with. Has 1 wire connected to it. Clean it gently with a pc of sand paper, but don't make it shine, just a light cleanind will do. Here is a link that has answered the trouble codes.

Reddy heater runs but not consintently shuts down and have to restart it. model 165DT

Shuts down in 5 seconds? If so, it is supposed to. If the flame is not perfect. Read on..

The ignitor (glowbar) only glows for 5-7 seconds- just long enough to create combustion. Once the flame starts- the flame must keep itself going. So if at anytime the flame goes out- it stays out- there is nothing to restart it.

What most people don't realize is that the photocell is looking for a flame with perfect color, which means the heater is not emitting pollutants. If the flame runs too rich or too lean (polluting) the photocell shuts the unit down. No self re-start.

Start troubleshooting by setting the pump pressure. Pump pressure is directly related to fuel delivery. Poor fuel delivery equal poor flame equals shutdown.

I have a Weber gas grill, and I just replaced the propane tank, yet when I ignite it on the Start/High setting, very little flame is produced. This is the first time in 5 years or so that I've...

Don't worry, you'll be grilling in no time, if you follow these instructions:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF.

2. Disconnect the grill's hose from the propane tank and wait 5 minutes.

3. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank's gas valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow Motion, slow).

Once the valve is fully open light one burner and turn it to HIGH. Has the flame height returned to normal? If so, light the remaining burner and turn it to HIGH. Do both flame heights look normal?
If so, you solve the problem! Remember to always turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

I forget what that code is...theres a sticker in the blower compartment or in your manual will tell you what 5 blinks means....typically its a flame signal error code....The flame sensor should be cleaned annually anyway to eliminate this problem...4 inches long and resembles a straight coathanger....clean/shine it up with emery cloth
