Check for something blocking the rising ghost. It really sounds like you might have a leak someplace. Check for holes or tears, especially on the seams. I have found clear packing tape works pretty well for a temporary fix.

SOURCE: my gemmy brand light show christmas tree not working........

When you press the reset button on the controller box, then you need to press the small recessed button on the back of the remote control. You'll need a pen to get in there, or better yet a paper clip. That will reset the remote.

SOURCE: I have a gemmy michael

It sounds like either the arm disconnected from the gear,or it is a plastic gear which has been stripped. There may be a simple clipring holding the arm to the gear which has popped off also.It would look like about a half circle which may have a couple of tabs on it to be able to open it wide enough to remove or put back on.Is there any way to access it that you can find? The front half and back half may be screwed or clipped together,it sounds like how it would be built anyhow. If you can get to it,you should have either answer just by being able to see it.Just make sure it is unplugged while working on it.Do not just turn it off.Once you find something, try to do whatever it takes(should be one of the above suggestions),then plug it in and turn it on to check it.Good luck! SOURCE: need fan motor for gemmy

Hi, unfortunately Gemmy Industries does not sell replacement motors for their inflatable products. However, motors can be purchased at www.holidayinflatablestore.com. Although Gemmy cannot provide any support to assist you in the process, Gemmy understand that collectors of the product have been able to take care of their replacement needs by purchasing older, inexpensive units from E-bay and then transferring the parts to the newer model.

The motion sensor on my 5 foot singing dancing Gemmy pirate skeleton isn't working. Where is the sensor located, and how do I fix it?

De-pant the skeleton and took a look down there in the foot where the inputs are. There should be a small circuit board. The proximity sensor is on a pair of green wires, yellow wires connected to the manual activation switch, connections to the various motors and the speakers up in the body, and a pair of long green wires that seem to be jumpered together. It's the proximity sensor that's likely at fault. Check to see if there is anything blocking the sensor. If nothing is blocking, check for loose or broken wires to it. Otherwise, you could remove the sensor and try to match it up at an electronics store and install a new one.

I have a 5' Singing Dancing Skeleton by Gemmy Industries purchased at a WalMart...Lost instructions to unlock it into standing (non-storage) posistion.

Remove the locks from the bottom. They look like the base for one of those solar lights you put in your yard. Once they are removed, push down on both shoulders at the same time and it will spring up! Hood luck and Happy Halloween!
