How can you program a tevion 1940 ht tv when there is no dvb menu shown on the screen I have lost the user manual

I think the Vizio is defective. I contacted Vizio, gave them all information then got an email back requesting that I re-send them the info that was attached to their response. Duh! Anyway, our brand new Vizio 32" drops the picture and sound, remote can't control change channels or shut TV off. Also, the power button on the TV can't turn the TV off. Pulling the plug out of the wall seems to reset the TV and everything starts working again including the remote.
We have a sound problem, as well. You can hear one speaker (actor) and the rest are drowned out. Very weird. Sound doesn't track with the speaker (person).

I'm not sure of your model number but those remotes use the NEC codes and the variants on the NEC codes. If that code set is not the databse, you may have to "learn" it on your particular remote.

You most definately have bad capacitors in the power supply. try and get it repaired as soon as possible, not an expensive repair that iv'e seen.
