Hi, have a Sharp Aquos TV connected to a Topfield recorder and a Pioneer AVR. Everything working ok in morning, TV was then turned off and the pioneer was turned off, and recorder left on for recording reserved shows. TV and AVR we're turned back on later and now we have no sound! I have checked there is no mute buttons on, have turned everything off and back on and check the audio set ups via manuals but I can not solve it. Can see the TV visually running but no sound. The speakers are fine as I was able to play YouTube and also play a DVD through our Xbox that is also hooked up to everything. I'm lost, are you able to help me ?! K

I dont know if this will work for you, but its worth a try. I had the same problem.
1. I changed to a station that was having the problem (an analog station with MONO displayed on the screen).
2. I unplugged the TV for about 15-20 minutes. (I was thinking maybe something needed to refresh, so thats why i unplugged the tv.)
3. I plugged the tv back in and voila. The station showed up as MONO then immediately swtiched to STEREO.
After that, i was able to use the AUDIO feature on the remote to actually change from MONO to SAP, etc.
Ive had my Sharp for about 5 months now, and thats the first time its happend to me. Luckily, i solved the problem...this time.
Hope it helps.

You need to change the resolution on the Blu-ray to 720P to match the Tv native resolution.

Do you get sound when hooking tv to a receiver with speakers? If so it could be a connetion problem or the sound board is going.
