SOURCE: computer won't turn on already replaced power

Try unplugging the PC for at least 10 mins. If that fails... it could be the BIOS failing to Boot. Leaving it unplugged my discharge the System and it may Boot, once it does it maybe best to update the BIOS. If the continues it will force you to replace the BIOS or the Motherboard. If the System is older than 3 years, I would replace the Motherboard and reinstall to a new hard drive and recover your data. Or buy a new system and recover your data by using a USB external HD Container.

Kindle will not shut off-goes to shut off or cancel but wont move. doesnt charge well-doesnt always hold charge

Patricia, Using the power switch, you can forcibly reset your Kindle device. This reset will shut down the Kindle without accessing the shutdown command from within the Kindle's operating system, a particularly useful tool when dealing with a frozen Kindle. To initiate a hard shutdown, Kindle disconnect from its charger, slide and hold the power switch for about 20 seconds. This will force the Kindle to shut down, now it can be restarted normally.
Check links below for charging problems.

My Acer Aspire 5810tzg won't start, I've check the power cable and battery and they work fine on other machines, it just won't turn on

There is one thing you can attempt before seeking repairs. You should try a power reset.

1) Unplug the AC adapter
2) Remove the battery
3) Hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then release it
4) Insert battery
5) Plug in AC adapter and see if the laptop can power on

If it does not power on, you may need to seek support with Acer.

My JVC KD-SH55 Car stereo won't switch on. It was in storage for a period and I installed it in my latedst car. All functions (receiver and CD) worked fine initially. It failed to come on today...

It sounds like a switched power or constant power issue have you checked the fuses. Their is all so a fuse behind the radio. Just unplug the harness going to the radio and it is behind that.

1994 gw Interstate - turn key on - no lights neutral or oil press

It sounds like there may be an electrical leak, If the voltage goes too low, the computer either shuts down or it can go stupid where certain things won`t operate. Try turning everything off, disconnect the positive lead from the battery and connect an ammeter between the positive terminal of the battery and the positive connector that goes to the bike. There should be very little drain from the battery, (I presume it`s got a clock and maybe a radio with presets that require power). I would say if there is more than say 10 - 50mA showing on the meter, you`ve got a leak. I`ve just been explaining about one of these bikes where it was the rectifiers that were leaking. I`m only guessing so I hope this helps. Ian
