Use a toothpick to clean out the lint in the usb connector. If you use the mp3 player a lot without the cap lint will build up and cause misalignment when plugging it in the pc.

a virus has made you files hidden. first you can format the mp3 drive. or you can go to tools, then folder options, and then click 'show hidden files'. you also need to unclick hide system files and hide extensions, etc.

Press the button with the returning arrow at the top. The use the skip forwards and back buttons until you see the FM radio function. Press the play button to activate and once in you can use the forward and back buttons to scan for stations.

If this doesn't work, you could download emodio and update the firmware.

dont load crappy software that comes with these things,
windows generic usb storage device drivers works solidly.
just treat it like a flash drive, drag and drop your mp3s into the music folder.
and make sure its charged, i.e. leave it plugged into the computer for al least 30 mins

The PS3 cannot recognize every drive. There are a few dependencies on that one.

1. The drive must be FAT16 or FAT32.
2. It needs the following folder structure. In the root of the disk/stick must be:

PHOTO
MUSIC
VIDEO
PS3

The music must be directly in to the MUSIC folder. If you add even one subfolder it won't recognize it. (for example: \MUSIC\Artist\File.mp3)
