Check that the incline plus switch is not jammed or likely there is a defect in the panel circuit causing plus incline to be repeated. This needs to be trouble-shooted by removing and testing the panel circuit.

SOURCE: proform 360p stuck on incline

I had the exact same problem.

This usually happens if you switch it off at the mains while the incline is adjusting or is somewhere other than lowest. You should always make sure before finishing off, to lower everything.

Now for the solution: If you open up the case it has 5 or 6 black philips (cross head) screws (use your user manual if you don't have your original go to proform and find the support link and download the .PDF if your model is not available get the one before or after in the same model product line (model number is below the power input)).

Make sure you remove the power before opening the cover, obviously.

Anyway, once opened, you should find a sheet of paper wrapped around in some plastic wallet. On that paper it should explain everything. Try not to mess with too much things in the settings, otherwise you might mess it up badly.

Mine is something like: Hold the speed up (+) button and then while holding the button insert the key - that will get you to the service menu (obviously the power has to be connected).

Once in the menu pressing the incline up does a self-calibration (maximum up and maximum down) after that it should be perfect.

Remove the key any time to come out of that mode and resume normal operation.

I may not find this place for any more replies 'cos i only found this site by accident. While looking for info. on my burnt out motor model: PETL 3013.6 .... But i have come across someone selling a faulty one on ebay for like 5 quids... it's picking it up the trouble!

SOURCE: nordictrack apex4100i level incline will not work

Try this calibration procedure.
Turn the power switch on. Remove the safety key. Hold the Stop and Speed Up or Speed Plus buttons down then insert the safety key.
The display should show some numbers.
Press the stop key one time and the display should show some other numbers and some 00's. Press the Incline Up button and see if the Incline begins to move, if it does let it go all the way up and then all the way down, wait a few seconds after it stops, then hit the stop key 4 times. It should be calibrated. If it didn't move then the board or the incline motor is bad.

SOURCE: My treadmill is stuck in the max incline position

If the incline moves but only just a bit, it could be a problem as simple as the gearbox on the motor being jammed. We remove the motor from the treadmill, reconnect the wiring, and then try to run the incline motor outside the treadmill. Many times, this will unjam it if that is the problem and then reinstalling it in the treadmill will get it to work. If you have the same problem or it doesn’t run outside the machine and you can hear it try to work, you need to replace the incline motor.

SOURCE: Epic treadmill t60 is stuck in max incline how do

Usually when stuck at the max up position it indicates that you may need a new incline motor. It is not the sensor. I have been repairing treadmills for 15 years and incline sensors seldom if ever go bad. If can isolate the incline motor using a 110 volt power cord, this may un-jam the motor and get it back down to 0%.
I use www.treadmillpartszone.com for parts.

SOURCE: My Nordictrack treadmill seems to

it is trying to calibrate itself, let it go the whole way up and then down without interrupting it. Then it should be fine.

Hello, WE have the model 4100i treadmill and the elevation is stuck in the highest position and won't reset to zero. How do I fix this or who can I call for this repair? Thanks, Tom

Try the calibration procedure found in the troubleshooting section of your manual first. Here are the basic instructions.
With the key in the console, press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing (or the numbers on the console) , remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. This will recalibrate the incline.
If it still doesn't move, remove the cover. Find the incline motor. You will see a slot in the end of the motor. Using a drill with a standard slotted screwdriver bit, spin the motor counterclockwise (if it is having difficulties spinning, turn clockwise instead) for just a couple seconds. Now do the calibration procedure again.
I have had machines that got stuck before. Once released and recalibrated, the operation was OK.
The service number for your machine is found on the model number sticker on the frame of the treadmill.

Incline stuck- keep going up and dopwn. Treadmill

I had the SAME problem, several times, with my NordicTrack A2250 Treadmill.
Allow it to go fully up and then fully down several times, without turning it off. IT seems to "cycle" that way 3 times and then "reboots" itself and starts working normally, again.
I had to figure this out myself... none of the suggestions I read worked.
