I think the sandisk cruzer flash drive does not have a write protect switch. Please give more details about the product, model number etc. It could be possible that the "SanDisk SecureAccess software" provided with the flash drive could be protecting your drive. Open the associated application for findign out how to turn off write protection. For more details check http://www.sandisk.in/products/usb/drives/

if you will look into the side of your SD CARD. theres a small toggle switch there. just slide it to the other side inorder to disable the write protection
