I suggest an authorised Samsung repair agent, (a list can be found on the Samsung web site), otherwise you will get panel changers and not engineers that repair to component level. One common culprit of this issue power supply issue, caused by a faulty power supply unit or the TV not receiving enough power, caused by faulty electrolytic capacitors on the Power Supply board.

Fix your tv with black screen blinking light, popping sound noise. ... Watch QueueQueue ... TV Black Screen - Repair LCD LED PLASMA - Problems SONY LG .... I have a 60 inch samsung DPL tv how can I stop the humming or ... What do I do if my tvturns on but its just a black screen so sound no picture?.
from remote press menu and highlight contrast enter code 1950 and see the service menu comes up. if not try 9735 same way.and change product id in service menu. try different .ids. each time you change id unplug tv and plug in .see if picture change.or do same process each time until show good.
These are generic instructions for all TV's and all Remotes:
1. Press 'Menu' key on Remote (or 'Setup' key).
2. Go to Setup, View, or Picture tab (whichever one you've got in your Remote's Menu or Setup)
3. Change your Zoom or View aspect.
NOTE: Depending on the dimensions of your TV, you simply may not be able to view the entire picture using a correct aspect ratio (NOT stretched). On my 42" RCA is use a 4:3 Zoom setting to fill my screen but, it chops a little bit off the top & bottom. It's the best I can do with my current setup.
Hi the blinking light is a code. The service manual for this TV will have a description of the code. do a google search for the service manual and download it.
You will need to reset the lamp counter. Begin with the TV powered off.
Point your remote towards your TV.
Press:
Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power.
Your TV set should now say “Loading Factory”.
Browse down to “Option” then press Enter (or the right cursor button).
NOTE: The Mute+1+8+2 buttons needs to be pressed down consecutively
and fairly quickly. If your TV does not enter the service menu
after using this combination, you can subsitute MENU instead of MUTE.
This seems to work for some sets. Also, the right cursor arrow
also acts as the ENTER button, so try it if you’re having
difficulty with the ENTER button.
To exit the service menu, hit press the EXIT button or just turn off
your TV (remember not to turn on your TV immediately afterwards!).
Its blue LCD mounted in light engine (optical block) and requires replacement. Before, the solution was complete light engine replacement but now Sony Service Center will replace blue LCD only to fix it to reduce your repair cost.
