You would have to determine if you are speaking under store credit warranty, the store will replace it with recpt usually with in 30 days, etc. or manufacture warranty if you have one it is usually 90 days maybe 1 yr. if you bought with a credit card, you have additional warranty period from visa, mastercard. check your credit card for this protection

SOURCE: Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal Coffeemaker DGB-600

I suffered with a stuck grider unti for a long time and just solved the problem..... Remove the filter basket and through the front door look up twords the back left. You can see where the grinder unit sits. There is a slot area where you can stick a screw driver under the grinder unit and pry it up. Do this in a jiggling motion and make sure you are well under the grinding unit, doing so on the edge of the grinder unit underneath will not give you enough suface to work with, in fact you will just bend or crack the edge. Looking in from low on the front (kneeling on floor with unit on counter, worked for me) will let you locate where the screw driver or smal pry tool needs to go. Mine was stuck for a very long time and No amount of pulling or prying from the top would work, I made it pop out in a matter of seconds using this technique from the bottom! Good luck, I'm going to finish my cup of coffee now! :-) Steve

I have a DCC-1200 brew central 12 cup.. i put water in the pot, checked to see if the filter was in place, set it to brew, and turned the switch to "on" position.. but I don't hear any noises and no water...

Sounds like a short. Call cuisinart they are very helpful for troubleshooting. If your machine is under 3 years old they will replace it for $10. Their number is 1-800-726-0190

Coffee maker shuts off too soon after brewing.

Hello FloydBob, The Cuisinart DCC-1200 has the ability to program the auto-off function that keeps your coffee warmer plate on after brewing is complete.

The unit lets you select the time increments from zero up to 4 hours.

See page 6 of the attached manual for the full instructions for reprogramming the coffee maker.

To program the Variable Auto Off:
1. Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to the “Auto Off”
position. Press and hold the “Hour” button
for 2 seconds. The clock display will start
blinking.
2. Program the coffeemaker to shut off from
zero to four hours after brew cycle is
finished by using the “Hour” and “Minute”
push-buttons.

I figured you might also like to have a complete instruction/owners manual so you can have access for any other questions you might have about your coffee maker, in the future.

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

The "Brew Pause" feature doesn't work

It's the spring part on the bottom of that black basket. Now that it's broken there's really no fixing it. The only thing to do is call the manufacturer (800-726-0190) to get a new brew basket. They are open on weekends, so you could call them today and see what they can do (brew baskets are covered under the 3 year warranty, btw). Just have your model and serial number and you can probably have a new one ordered in less than 5 minutes. :)

After brewing coffee does not stay hot.

Unplug the coffeemaker for one full hour.
When you replug it, go to Auto-Off - change the time from "2:00" to "4:00", and then brew another pot. Immediately after the brewing is done, set the coffeemaker back to Auto-Off and see if your problem is resolved.
If not, it may have deeper problems. These coffeemakers have a 3-year warranty - call Cuisinart to see if you are still in-warranty.

No power

The parts to repair a problem of this magnitude are generally not available. The DCC-2000 has a thre-year warranty. I would call Cuisinart and see if you can get an in-warranty replacement. I have a high opinion of cuisinart and their products, but this particular coffeemaker, I do not personally reccomend.
