What is DDT my system cuts out when DDT lights up

The M-2600 for example has defeat switches to cut the DDT from the signal. You would be well advised to look for the cause of the clipping to protect your speakers. so what happens when the Amplifier is driven too hard IE turned up too loud it, will drop in apparent output (volume) so that it has time to recover and only when it has done this will it return, but only again it will (cut out) unless the volume or output to speakers is reduced.
