- Change to the new profile after creating it and see if the crashes continue to occur. You can sign into Chrome with your Google account to sync the data from your old profile. How much memory is in your system now?

It's your graphics chip and memory I'm worried about and whether you have shared graphics memory coming out of that 1.49GB, since you "meet" the Display Requirements and really should exceed them for some functions of Google Earth.
Upgrade your graphics board, cause you may just be squeaking by with only 32MB, as 64, 128, 256, and 512MB have been de rigeur for years now.
