We have a Bosh KIM29473GB for some time water has been collecting in the bottom tray of the fridge and only takes a few days to fill up, this weekend the freezer stopped working and now nothing works.

Sounds like the fridge is trying to start low clicking noise. Freezer is not working at all

If you hear a click every few minutes and a buzz / click then nothing, it would sound as if your compressor is gone, the water problem is the defrost drain pipe is blocked

SOURCE: ARISTON FRIDGE FREEZER MBA 3842C PROBLEM

It should work the same as before. Does the compressor get really hot after running a while? If so it could be low on charge, or there could be a restriction inside the refrigeration system. Either way a professional would have to look at it.

Water is dripping from the bottom of the fridge (slow drip). How do I fix it. I have a Maytag French Door stainless steel fridge (4-year-old) with freezer on the bottom.

There should be a drip tray catching the defrost water... it may be overfull... Try to remove it and empty it. The tray is actually supposed to have a heat evaporator to dry up the water before it overflows. Your may be fuller due to excessive frost also... from hot temperatures outside or opening the fridge too often or for too long... good luck!

I have a GE Profile fridge PSS25MGNAWW with an ice maker that is not working properly. The ice maker doesnt fill with water. If I turn the ice maker off then back on it will squirt water in for about...

HI this is just a test the icemaker runs when you first turn it on, its not suppose to fill up the tray, it will fill it when the icemaker reaches the correct temperature, if its not cold enough in the freezer it wont kick on, if its been sitting for several hours and still wont fill or make ice, you need a new icemaker. The new icemaker part # is WR30X10093

My hotpoint future fza34 is leaking from underneath

you need to get to the back of fridge and ul notice a tray full of water ontop of the compressor. remove tray and empty water out. when replacing v important to make sure it is sitting level on compressor again.

there is also an underlaying prob here, maybe alot of condensation on shelves also??

ensure doors are closing properly and saels are in good shape, also avoid putting warm food in fridge and make sure liquids are covered. this should stop tray filling with water and leaking

I have a Woods refrigerator that is all fridge, no freezer compartment. Model # RFA17NAC. s/n 07605297JG. It is leaking water on the inside of the fridge and collects on the fridge floor. No manual came...

Hi Linda. We have the identical model of Woods all-fridge and
experienced this problem several times over the course of several
months. Hopefully this is still timely.

The short answer is that the clear flexible-plastic drain tube that runs
from the inside rear of the fridge down to the catch tray (underneath
the cabinet, next to the floor, behind the kick-plate) is sufficiently
plugged (with some kind of gunk, probably from a spill inside the
fridge) to cause a back-up. I suppose the inner diameter of the tube is
maybe 3/16" so it can easily get clogged. Consequently, the water runs
down the inside back of the fridge & eventually ends up in the
depressions below the crispers. In our case, after those depressions
filled (and I hadn\'t noticed), the water would run out onto the floor.

Initially, I used a fine wire to poke some of the gunk out of the tube
but I didn\'t get it all out. Just enuff to let some of the water get
thru, but the tube would plug up again. After a few repeats of the
problem, separated by a month or 2 each time, I decided a more "drastic"
tube cleaning was required.

I suppose a good strong compressed air blast might clear the tube
completely, but I didn\'t have that available so I had to use a
semi-flexible wire & sorta gunk out the tube. It\'s been about 1.5
yrs. since that more thorough tube cleaning & the problem hasn\'t
come back, so I think the tube got plugged from a spill in the fridge
(which thankfully hasn\'t re-occurred... yet).

BTW, I don\'t have the manual either, but the lower part of the tubing is
accessible from behind the fridge. I didn\'t pull it completely out
(which might have disconnected it from its fitting), I simply reamed it
out while it was in-place.

Hope this has been of some help to you.

Hi Jeff, Had same problem. Turned out that the fill tube for the ice cube tray had filled with ice. I solved the problem by removing the tube from the back and letting warm water thaw the ice. Reinstalled and it works fine. You may also want to try a blow dryer while still in the freezer, but that may take some time. Good luck, Jim

My Bosch frostfree fridge freezer keeps icing up!

My Bosch Frost Free Fridge Freezer did the same thing - Ice forming in the bottom of the freezer area after a few days.

It was caused by a blocked drain pipe - When the freezer does the de-frosting cycle, the melted ice drips into a tray and tehn runs into a dish on top of teh compressor, through a pipe.

If this pipe gets blocked, the de frosted ice overflows from the tray and overflows into the bottom of the freezer and then re-freezes !

To fix, pull the freezer away form the wall, locate the pipe that runs to the dish on top of the compressor and blow through it - This should clear it. Alternatively, from inside the freezer compartment, pull off the cover at the back, but the clips holding it on will probably break off, as mine did ! You can sort of push the cover back on and re-fit the food draws.

Water Dripping Inside

Sounds like a blocked defrost drain. By "American" I presume you mean side-by-side.
I had a similar problem with a freezer-on-top style Samsung. The solution to that was to defrost the freezer, remove the false backing plate in the freezer (required removal of the ice cube tray. the panel just pops out with a bit of pulling). The drain hole beneath the freezer coils was blocked with ice. This drain passes down into the fridge and then out the back of the fridge into the evaporation pan next to the motor. There is a collector pan under the freezer coils, this and the drain hole were filled with ice. When the freezer goes into its self-defrost cycle the water collects here and then overflows into the fridge.
I removed the ice with hot water/vinegar mixture (so it doesn't re-freeze immediately) and simultaneosuly used a bit of chiselling with a screwdriver to clear the drain plug. I did this from inside the fridge working up the drain hole into the freezer. The whole job took about an hour.
