you have a regulator problem my friend in the power supply or there is a fault in the G board. This is not a repair an untrained person should attempt, please get a pro to assist you in this repair.

The initial blinking is normal. The two blinks are the key and indicate an over current condition detected. This can be a problem in any of the circuits. Since the set initially performs as expected and the blinks show up after a little while suggests that the problem is in the high voltage circuit. If you are comfortable working inside the set, check the horizontal output transistor for a shorted condition. That is the most common failure. If you must see a servicer, expect a parts cost in the $25 range. Add in the local labor rate for the total repair cost.

I have a Sony SRS BBE Trinitron (WEGA). The last few days when I tried to turn it on using the remote the Red Light would go on but the TV did not turn on. I would have to press the power button again to turn it on.. I tought the remote battery was just low.
Today when I tried to turn it on nothing is happening and the Red Light is blinking 9 times ??? I tried to unplug it and try it again, still does the same thing ???
