Ps3 skips forward while playing dvd

Get a dvd cleaner cd from walmart or target that is made for blu ray's and that will help you out a lot, if you have a console like mine where the top opens and you can access the dvd and see the eyes if the laser, take a q-tip with some isoproyl alcohol and clean both eyes off, but make sure the q-tip is not overly soaked since you don't want the extra liquid dripping into the console!

sounds like you will need to clean laser, there are cleaners you can buy out of walmart for this. Don't know if they work well, I take mine apart and use soft cloth and alcohol then letting dry, works fine for me.

Hi,what makes the nsx 3150 skipping, is because the Lens inside the DVD section that makes a DVD plate play when inserted is weak and needs to be replaced.

When a Lens is weak,it will not allow you to watch a full movie or play a CD properly. Might stop on the way or skip

What to do is this, you will need to clean the Lens with a DVD lens cleaner.You can buy from Online stores and it comes with instructions..

But note after cleaning the DVD lens, if still does the same way,that means you will have to replace the Lens inside the DVD player section.

To replace the Lens, contact the nearest repair store or outlet around your area..

Get a VHS system. It's easy to fast forward and easy to copy movies and to record off of live tv.

Have you tried unplugging the unit and blowing out all the dust and lint along with cleaning the laser?

Hello, I had the same problem and after spending a few hours reading and trying things, I found a solution. Its very simple. Power on your unit (manually) and then on your remote control push and hold at the same time"enter" and the number "1" while pointing directly to your unit and this should solve the problem. just make sure that the colors are matched with the jock and the socket in your dvd player and your tv. just make sure that you unplug first your dvd player and tv while attaching the wires to avoid accidents.

just follow the color coding of the wires and cables and you wont go wrong. just plug in the your tv and dvd player to the electric socket and in no time you will be watching your favorite movie.

for the player, just press the open(eject) button to insert your dvd and normally it will automatically play. just hit rewind (<<) for playback and forward (>>) to skip some scenes. use the |<< button to go back to a previous section and the >>| to skip to the nest section. use the || to pause and the button with the square symbol to stop.

We already had the inservice. Rather than going directly to Chapter 24 (which is what we watned to do), we just fast forwarded enogh times to know when to stop the fast forward to be near Chapter 24-- it worked. Thanks.
