Your exposure is set way too high maybe?,
If you are using the manual function then turn the round slider located right beside the ae-l and af-l button to the right until picture sorts itself out.
Or use the twist function settings ontop of the camera and set it to AUTO.
If neither of these works then try going into the menu and selecting reset, do not worry this will not delete your pictures, then then try it out.
Hope it works and you can get back to taking some good pictures!

I tried all of that but it's still not working. *Sigh* I don't know what to do now. I'm wondering if I will need to take it in for service? Is there anything else I can do? My warranty just expired last month. If I send it in for repair, it might be costly.
