I got water on my ipod touch... at first it would work but slowly but i noticed there was a small rim of grey bordering the screen that hadn't been there before, i then turned it off and on again and the screen went totally unresponsive. now it wont turn on at all. does anyone know what to do?
Well that grey ring was water and im not completly familiar with touches but like most electronics that get wet you have to let them dry and this is usually a long process so u can let it dry and not have it for a couple monthes or if its still under warranty get a new one

Grey border comes on the screen may be because or the LCD panel is faulty or the t cone baord is bad. as you didnt mentioed anything about the brand and model number its not possible an exact solution. Here added link with the help which you will be able to solve the issue . http://electro-medical.blogspot.in/2015/11/lcd-tv-t-con-board-troubleshooting.html
The touch screen is not physically attached to the screen, if water was anywhere near the bottom of the ipod it may have triggered the water damage unit inside the bottom. Water also may have leaked into the unit frying the circuits. You'll have to visit an Apple store or Apple.com/support for repair.
yes it is it can spead and the touch screen will work erratcly and or water and moister can get in if you contact www.phopricewenixtec.ca they can help you with the parts youneed at a very resonable
Here is a way that solved the problem for me. Downgrade the ipod touch to firmware 1.1.4. You have to put your ipod into DFU mode ('not recovery mode) and you have to have an itunes version that supports this old firmware. 7.5 oder 7.7 i think. to load your own firmware you simply hold the shift-button while you push the restore button.
After you have firmware 1.1.4 on your ipod touch, download the jailbreaker "Ziphone". This programm has the option to fix the "no Wifi" problem. Look in the advanced options. In my case, this was the only thing that solved the problem. I tried restoring it often but nothing worked. After Ziphone fixed your Problem, you can update the Touch to the latest firmware. Wifi was still working, at least for me
how old is your tv and whwer are those borders situated side top or bottom of the screen please specify and get back to, me at [email protected] you could be having a problem in the power supply.
