I have a whirlpool side by side frig Model #ED2FHEXMS 00. Water is pooling in bottom of freezer then leaking into floor? Could it be the drain? And where is the drain?
Yes it is most likely the drain that is plugged and or frozen up. to repair this you will need to remove the rear access cover inside the freezer compartment clear all the ice from the drain pan and flush hot water thru the drain hole located in the drain pan. this is a fairly easy repair you can do youself. the hardest part will be removing and reinstalling the rear cover. good luck peyton.
BTW I use a turkey baster or large syringe filled with hot water to flush the drain line with.

sounds like your defrost drain is clogged up. it can be cleaned by taking off the metal or plastic panel and cleaning out the defrost drain hole. a steamer works best.
90 percent sure drain is clogged. when unit defrosts , water from said melting ice is drained away via drain hole and tube to underneaththe fridge. locate drain hole in bottom rear of freezer and pour hot water with turkey baster into hole until it runs out freely
normally caused by a clogged drain in back of freezer . check to see if you have ice build up on bottom of freezer..... gently chip away ice in freezer and turkey baste hot water into drain hole until water flows freely
When refrigerators leak water it usally is a sign that the defrost drain found inside the rear of freezer and behind the rear panel of freezer has become clogged with ice or gunk. Sometimes the pan below refrigerator has a crack and allows water to leak onto floor. Please click here=>Leaking Refrigerators Just What may Be HappeningYou will at times see water build up inside freezer bottom especially on bottom freezer refrigerators. Do you have a thin layer of ice in bottom of freezer? If so, its a clogged drain - drain located "behind" back wall in "freezer" side (bottom).
If not, may be a broken or leaky water line or water valve - best serviced by an appliance repair technician... GL

I had a similar problem with my Whirlpool model 6ED25DQFW side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker/water dispenser. Water was slowly pooling under the refrigerator under the freezer section. The defrost drain pipe was not blocked, the condenser fan was running, the drip pan was not leaking. The source of the leak was found to be the icemaker solenoid block plastic body which had a pinhole leak. To fix requires either plastic welding, or replacement of the solenoid block plastic body. To access the solenoid block firstly requires removal of the cardboard cover, located at the lower rear of the refrigerator.
Below that panel in the freezer (evaporator cover) is the drain trough. Most likely it is clogged. Using a baster, with hot water and bleach mixed deluge till it flows down to the drain pan underneath.
Your drain tubemay be stopped up with ice at the upper end
because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the
evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it.
Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey basterwill usually clear it out. Flushing it out
with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent
refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the
lower back of the freezer.
The problem was indeed a clogged frost water drain. I had to pull the frig out from the wall (found an incredible amount of dust accummulation in the alcove), then remove the vertical metal and horizontal cardboard covers to expose the drain catchpan. The 1/2" rubber drain hose end was only about 1/8" above the pan pointing directly into it perpendicularly. This was not enough clearance. There was a plug (formed by dust and water) in the end of the hose that came out easily when I 'roto-rooted' it with a screwdriver. The water flowed easily after that, but I went ahead and trimmed about 3/8" off the end of the hose and pushed it back into its slot. Then I cleaned as much as I could. The prevention is to keep the area behind the frig cleaned!
