How to reset Netgear RangeMax NExT Wireless Router WNR834B

This will reset your device to default settings. You will need to reconfigure the SSID and Security settings.

Unfortunatly, if it won't even power up anymore, there no way to even diagnose what the problem might have been. sorry to say, but i think it may be time for a new router.

Go NETGEAR Router and configure.

well if you forgot the username and password then reset the router for 20-30 secs pushing the reset button. powercycle the router for 10 secs. then open the router page>

Log onto the router page by using the IP address in to the browser. To get that Open the Command prompt. To do that . Click start and in the run box type cmd. Or in the start search type cmd and right click and click on run as admin.

Then type ipconfig. Then the default gateway will denote the IP Adress of Router. Put that into the Browser and open the security settings and choose the encryption type and the password.

Try the reset button to put it back to factory default. If it's still not working, it's time for a new router.

You need to return it if it is under warranty. If not you need to buy a new router. I suggest getting a Belkin.

The DSL modem will have a LAN port (RJ45), plug a LAN cable in this port and connect the other end to the Netgear router's WAN port.
