We didn't get an instruction book with the appliances in the home we bought & I don't know how to self-clean the oven
Try the Maytag website under customer service. They usually will have the owners manuals You will need the model number.

There is an automatic lock feature on this unit that after 1 hour will unlock itself.

Close door on lower oven (upper oven is not self clean). Press "Clean" pad. Press More pad or Less Pad. H is 4 hour clean, M is a 3 hour clean cycle and L is a 2 hour clean cycle. The door will lock and cleaning will begin. Good Luck!

An easier option for you would be to download a replacement manual. Go to managemyhome.com and register. This is a FREE service. Once registered, log in and go the "Home Manager" link at the top of the page. Look for the "Owner's Manual" link under the drop down menu and click on it. Enter your Brand Name and Model Number. That was a good thing. Controls are damaged using self clean and cost hundreds of dollars to repair. My opinion.
