There just might be a sock or simular that has been able to pass between the two tubs and is now blocking the sump hose. It is possible with a torch to look throught the holes in the drum at where the heater is and see something. If there is. With machine power and hoses diconnected, you need to lay the machine on it's side where you will see the sump hose from the drum to the pump. You can some times feel if there is something in the hose. If not you will have to undo the hose from the rdum, just a simple clip. Then feel around the inside of the drum.If your lucky you will find the object. jsut put everything back checking for water leaks the first time you fill it.

Testimonial: "i checked for blockage in the hoses and between the tub. no blockage."

One rare case I worked on where no blockage could be found was that a pump worked fine when no water was present but at soon as it had to pump water it laboured & the only cure was to replace the pump

SOURCE: Kenmore 60 series will not spin or agitate

Common problem with these top loading Kenmore models. There are many step by step solutions on replacing whats called the motor coupling(3 pieces) An easy way to tell if this is your problem when you pull the washer out you may see a pile of black(or maybe even white) shavings right under the motor. The coupler keeps you from doing damage to the gearbox and breaks away first. It's a pretty easy repair if you follow the step by step instructions found on this site.(sorry I don't know how to linc for you) I just read a bunch of them and even found a couple that were on youtube showing video. The part is readily available on line or in my case at an appliance repair shop close to me.The hardest part of this repair for me was just getting the cover off first, but once again there are step by step instructions for that on here as well. The part is about 13-17 dollars, and it is a little tricky getting the one end on the gearbox, but take your time and follow the help full guides and it really isn't that bad.The cause for this problem seems to be first of all the material that the part is made of,but is mostly caused(from what i have been reading) is overlaoding of your washer.
Hope this helps, doing this repair is a whole lot cheaper than calling Sears

SOURCE: Kenmore washer will not spin or drain water, agitate works fine

Sounds like a lid switch. there should be a hole under the lid on the right side about the size of a dime. Make sure the plastic "flipper" is inside and "clicks" when you push down on it with a pen.

SOURCE: The washer fills agitate but won't spin & drain

Possible fault with the program controller unit. You need to check the program cycle outputs using a multimeter connected to measure the output voltage. On start the inlet should open and then close as the water level sensors works and then proceed to wash. So this much seems OK. Now in the next step the drain valve must open to drain off, then fill once again with the inlet working and water level being sensed. If there is no output in this section cycle then the prrogram controller has errors within the memory . You can remove the panel and reset all connectors and connections.

Figidaire FTF630as0 won't agitate. The door locks and water drains but won't agitate or spin

Hello Tina Kaha - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Kenmore 90 series washer won't drain and go to spin cycle

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage. Remove the front access panel, bottom front, screws beneath; if you find a pipe there with a cap -this is for draining water. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the clamp (or unscrew) that connects the trap assembly to the pump and clean it out.
If helped pl say so.

Not sure if manifold is leaking

Leaks water...check the pump first. The fill valve and hoses may be the next step. See how to take apart info. With the use of plastic drain hoses on many machines today, this has become a common leak trouble maker. The drain hose can rub the wall or a pipe and this will rub a hole in the drain hose.

Wont drain or spindry-model 110.13212200 topload

To check the lid switch set it on spin. Should spin with lid closed & not spin with lid open. What is your problem ? (not filling ) ( not agitating ) ( not draining) ( not spinning ) it won't have an exit filter.
If the lid switch is ok it should agitate drain & spin .. The lid switch could stop agitate on some & not on others. If it is not draining it could be the pump. Sometimes a sock or something small can go down the drain and get in the pump & stop it up then it won't drain
like it should. Always say what the problem is like agitate or spin.
Hope this helps
