you can buy the switch from the dealer and they change very easy

i would also check the mute or volume buttons on the steering wheel. spray them with a can of compressed air, hold the volume up and spray the minus and vise versa. hope this helps.

If there is a mute button, it will be on its remote control. There will be no Mute button on the device.

When your all other buttons work only the mute button doesnt work.The problem lies with the mute button only.Not with programming.

Press the mute button and then turn up the volume button. If no sound still then press the mute button again. If we are talking about a Remote, then change the batteries.

take out your battery and put it back in. let it load up completly and see if it works. press and hold the mute button

The button that mutes the speakerphone is the mic/HFAI key located above your speaker button. The mic mute feature works while using the speaker, when the phone is idle it works as the handsfree answerback intercom.

The mute button works when you have a speakerphone call. That means SP-PHONE pressed and press MUTE and it flashes to let you know it's on mute.

Maybe software version 9.0 will fix the mute to work on handset calls.....
