If power supply is not original and time of shut off depends on speakers volume I suspect power supply has no enough power. If it is all original then problem may be in power management switching off

Psr s670 keyboard plays fine but when it is plugged into a mixer after a time the volume kicks in and out?

The issue you are experiencing could be related to a few different things. Here are some things to check:
  1. Check the cables: Make sure the cables you are using to connect your keyboard to the mixer are in good condition and securely plugged in. Sometimes a loose connection or a damaged cable can cause issues with the volume.
  2. Check the mixer: Make sure the mixer is set up correctly and the levels are adjusted properly. If the mixer is overloaded, it can cause issues with the volume.
  3. Check the keyboard settings: Make sure the keyboard is set up correctly and the levels are adjusted properly. Some keyboards have settings that can affect the volume output.
  4. Check for interference: Sometimes interference from other electronics or electrical sources can cause issues with the volume. Try moving your setup to a different location and see if that helps.
If none of these solutions work, it may be a hardware issue with either the keyboard or the mixer. In that case, it may be best to consult with a professional technician.

Kurzweil M1 digital piano is resetting (shutting down and turning on) on its own in the middle of playing.

You're correct, that's a power supply problem, but it may also be the power supply connector on the keyboard. If you have access to a voltmeter, check the power supply first.

I have a YPT-310 Yamaha electronic keyboard. I can play it for about a minute and while I press every key the light up panel flashes. After 1 minute of play it turns off. Any ideas on how to fix it?

The problem is in the inside of ypt310,nothing to do from outside.
Is it after the unit is turned off, and then revived, this conditions happen again?
If the unit still can play for a minute/moment, the damage is usually located on the regulator. There may be a capacitor/resistor/ic damaged by heat. When there is not hot, the regulator is working normally, and the unit was normal. But after a while the heat turned up (at component parts), the regulator becomes abnormal / unstable, and the unit is turns off.
There may also be damage in the other section, which causes the regulator gets hot. If you are not experienced in electronics repair, then leave it to the experts.
Try also, check the wiring-connection from regulator to another board (usually using the socket, it may loose its socket)

What could cause my keyboard to shut off after being played for about a minute?

I would say that something is getting hot in the electronics and causing it to shut down.

The display screen for my DGX 500 is blinking on and off and is unresponsive.

Do you mean,"The HOUSE power went out" or, "The keyboard power went out"?

When I play the keys too fast the whole keyboard shuts off with how can I fix the problem as I recently just began learning the piano I will find it very unfortunate to have to bring it in for repair after...

Is it possible you have the wrong power adapter? Next to the power socket on the back of the keyboard it should say what voltage and how many milliamps it needs (eg: 9v DC 500 mA). You should find a similar rating on your adapter.

If the adapter doesn't quite produce enough mA the keyboard will happily sit doing nothing but shut off when you raise its power requirements by playing a lot of notes.

My keyboard keeps shutting off within a minute or two of playing. The woman I purchased it from told me that it had an auto-off battery saving mechanism if you don't touch a key for a while, but this...

If you are running on batteries, they are either depleted OR may have corrosion on the contacts in the keyboard which is COMMON problem. If using an adapter, the cords chronically work loose. A last problem is the switching for using battery or adapter can have poor contacts. If you don't have an adapter, get one and get one SPECIFICALLY for the keyboard... I don't know how many I have had to tell they have the wrong adapter and that is why their unit won't work.

Hi The first 11 keys of our keyboard have not woked since new. If my girls press the play/pause button then it works. Is this a fault of the keyboard or are we doing something wrong? Thanku

Check the switch to be sure the keyboard is in normal mode and not chord mode. This will cause there to be no sound unless you play a chord on those first 11 keys. Pressing play activates whatever song is loaded at the time, allowing full keyboard use.

I have an older Casio, and the same thing happens all the time, especially when I'm in a hurry and don't check where I put the switch.

Hope that helps!

Tyros2 plays an additional note (F#3) when I play C3 & E3 notes

This would indicate a problem with the scanning matrix for the keys. I don't have my schematics handy right now, to analyze which part might be bad...

FIRST though, check the settings for the keyboard splits on the utility page that has the splits. I have had this get clobbered and caused an unwanted transposed voice to sound..

If you can find other combinations that cause the problem that would aid in pinpointing the exact cause.

This could be a bad disconnect diode or short or break on the keyboard contact board or even a cable between the upper and lower contact boards. (The keyboard contacts are actually split into two groups high and low).

Please be careful in opening the unit. There are lots of screws and some in wells in the back. There are different threads and lengths, Make sure they go back correctely. Be VERY careful of the ribbon cables and their orientation. ALSO the power switch leads are very short... I often remove the switch rather than try to take the leads off.

I can try to find my schematics but that will take a while. If you are not comfortable working on electronics, this is a problem for the shop.
