SOURCE: I'm using the ub2442fx but not getting enough volume
The unit should generate standard levels which then must be amplified. It LIKELY is doing that.
I suspect your amplifiers and/or speakers are insufficient. You have not told us the speakers you have or the size of the venue. The type of sound you are making is important too, as heavy bass requires BIG speakers... at least 15 inches for good reproduction.
I also would recommend you get an audio sound level meter... even an inexpensive Radio Shack one will do. This will allow you to comply with the sound level restrictions and compare speaker/amplifier sets.
If you can get to 90 Db, that is safe level.
Many venues they have massive amplifiers for say a 4000 sq ft area that have 1000 watts. This doesn't guarantee adequate sound since the efficiency of the speakers play a vast part. For good bass, the speaker cabinets need adequate physical size to match the speakers to be efficient.
A word of warning: If you have an ampliifier that generates much more than the rating of the speaker, expect to blow some speakers. Also DON'T be fooled by "peak power" ratings as they are fake, count on RMS power ratings when comparing.
