The disc was playing then i turned my car off . when i started my car later that day it didnt wanna play. i cant even eject the disc. umm it turns on says formating disc then error 2 and shuts off. when i try going to the menu only tuner works. what can i do
Actually it is due to faulty disk or dirty lens sometimes , when the lens is dirty it keeps on trying to read the data from cd or dvd and it just cant stop that infact stuck in it , or the other reason is faulty loading gear , in either case u have to physically dis assemble the player , remove the top cover some 4 or 6 screws are there in place open the top cover see the cd /or dvd and remove it physically do not force anything hard when removing the media and then if u can see the lens of ur player just clean it with a soft cloth with ur fingers in cicular motions very gently and u will see that it will play dvd /cd fine , the other thing if the loading gear is faulty or broken then u can ask me more on this

Im also having the same exact problem with my 6500. I have already physically removed the dvd and cleaned the lens. Still having the same problem. So Im assuming a part or parts need to be replaced. Do u recommend somewhere to have the repairs performed. Also do u have an idea of the cost.

changer. It currently has 4 CD's inside. None of them will play. Theradion and DVD work fine but I cannot even choose to play the CDs. They will not load nor eject.

You can find servvice manual for your AVHP-6500 here and i will refer you link to get cd lens later or it might be a cd loader failure
