I keep getting notices that my answers have helped some people, but my answers are never shown, so I never know what Fixya is talking about;

Are my answers on file? If so, can I access them? If not, at least tell me the website where my answers were posted.

Thermostat location in engine

Hi there:
Check the spring end goes into the hose outlet housing as shown in the picture below...

8_6_2012_4_01_03_pm.jpg

The jiggle valve goes to the top. It is to allow air to purge past the thermostat when refilling the coolant.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Euro pro model 385W sewing machine

Hi FixYa,

I'm fifi1076, and I'm having quiet a good bit of trouble with my sewing machine.

I'm new at this site so I don't know if I'm doing this correctly or not so please
forgive me if I do something I'm not suppose to do!!!!

I copied this question from off of this site for I wanted to make certain that
whoever answers my question will understand that all of the question
doesn't pertain to my problem.

"when we have it threaded the top thread keeps getting jammed up in the bottom bobbin. if i redo the bobbin as shown in manual then the bottom thread will not loop so it will stitch"

This is the only part that pertains to my problem...... when I have it threaded the top thread keeps getting jammed up in the bottom bobbin......and I can't get it to sew at all....it won't do nothing.....the motor will just sit there and grind.

If whoever can help me with this and can give me a solution I will be forever gratefull

Thanks,

Kay Nowicki

Unusual problems with sign-in

well check your browser settings, I haven't had any problems in a while. delete all the files from your browser
4b10f46.jpg
also check that your security settings are at defaults and cookies same with that, well basicly get everything back to defaults.

I kept geting this wierd message that you have been logged out that someone else has logged in with my account I don't remember the message exactly but it was something to that direction.

Changed my passwords a few times and been fine.

well ive noticed that the chat availablity on the fixya page doesn't matter I can have it on unavailable but il still get chat requests since I have the desktop tool runing.

I noticed that my outlook adds :80 into the address when trying to open a link from fixya email - I had to remove that to get the links to work again.

well I don't know everything working fine here, may be something at your end.

Hey iDude~

Well, best thing is to choose queries that are complete and that you are comfortable with. Also the ones asking for drivers, manuals, etc that should be easy to find.
I also take time to research the answers and provide all possible solutions in the first answer itself..most askers want immediate answers, and I try to avoid the queries where you know the asker has to get a repair done. Even if so, i try to provide as much information on troubleshooting as possible, before mentioning in the last line "if all these methods are unsuccessful you will probably have to get the device repaired or purchase a new one, whichever works out cheaper for you". Most cases they are happy with that statement.
I also used to add a template text regarding ratings in the past, and I notice now that I used to get a higher percentage of Fixyas and Helpfuls. I dont do that much these days, and have noticed a drop. Maybe I should start again.

Here's another tip. I go to my unrated solutions which are more than 2 weeks old and post this:
"Hello,

This thread has gone 14 days or more without a response. Please close the thread with a “FixYa” or “Helpful” rating.

If the issue is not resolved, please post back with latest developments, what steps you took, etc. and I will assist you further as best I can.

Thank you.
IrishDruid"

Well, actually I just tried that yesterday, and I got an unbelievable amount of ratings..I got 46 of my old unsolved posts rated in 24 hrs. Most of them either Fixya or Helpful. Of course, you do get the odd T$T and Inapps, but that is mostly negligible..

Here are my stats for the past 3 days. Notice the huge number of posts rated after I sent that notice:
29-May 369 88.33% 122 90 76 0 30-May 384 88.35% 126 93 78 1 31-May 427 88.09% 134 111 82 3 Format: Date | Votes | Rating | Fixya | Helpful | T4T | Inapp

Of course, my rating dropped dratically because of those buggering Inapps..but you get the picture...
