I have a xerox 3100 with a serios error ''card reading temporarily disabled'' how do i activate the card???

When i start asking me insert the toner card and when i insert the card gives me error :reading card temporarily disabled! Help me please!!Thanks.

SOURCE: Xerox Workcenter 222 toner card

There is a card that should come with a cartridge. It slides into the slot on the side of the machine to reset the toner cartridge count.
I don't know of a way to reset the count without a card.
Wish I had a better answer, but the card is encoded to reset the machines toner count in the software.

Is there any chip identifier for that toner. If there you have to change the chip. Otherwise yiu refilled wrong toner posder for that toner.

Hello,
unfortunately you don't have any chance to do that without toner card.
This card just reseted your printer counter after printing some number of images!
Your MFP is same like Xerox Phaser 3100 MVP so no other way!

On Xerox Phaser 3100mfp., after refilling the toner its asking "insert toner card"

when you refill the cartridge you got to put a card {seem like a credit card} to reset a counter of the printer. the slot of card is in bottom of control panel {panel with buttons}

Just replace the cartridge or refilled. In both case you must put a toner card in slot bottom of control panel.

How open in laser toner catridge make-xerox model-phaser 3100

Replace the toner: Always use the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge when replacing the cartridge. The smart card contains the information necessary to reset the level of Toner. Replacing the cartridge without using the smart card may result in the consumable management system being inaccurate.

Insert the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge into the smart card reader. A "Change Toner?" message will be displayed.
Press the [OK] button. An "Open Front Cover Replace Toner" message will be displayed.
Push on the left and right side of the Front Cover and simultaneously lower the cover.
Grasp the handle on the Print Cartridge, and then raise and remove the cartridge from the machine.
Unpack the new cartridge, and then insert the cartridge into the machine.
Close the Front Cover. A "Have You Changed the Toner?" message will be displayed.
Press the [OK] button. A "Please Wait" message will be displayed while the machine reads the smart card, and then a "New Toner Remove Card" message will be displayed.
Remove the smart card from the reader and dispose of the card as normal office waste.

NOTE: If the smart card has been used with a previous installation of a Print Cartridge, a "Remove Card Already Used" message will be displayed. The smart card can only be used once. Make sure to use the card that came with the new cartridge.
