You can connect the CD player to the amplifier using a standard set of RCA cables (left and right channel / red & white connectors). Connect the CD output to an input on the amplifier (usually one designated for CD or possibly "Aux") Then select this input source in order on the Amplifier.

There would be no reason to connect the CD player to a Tuner. Not even sure a tuner whould have any inputs in order to connect a CD player.

I had a similar problem with the DDX470 in a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. Turns out the car has a factory installed amplifier so the Blue/White wire had to be connected to the Blue/White wire on the wiring harness I had connected to the car. Let me know if you have this wire connected or not, and what type of vehicle you are installing the stereo into.

It sounds you are using an amplifier and using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on). Try hooking up the blue/white wire to turn your amp on. When leaving tuner mode, the blue wire shuts off, turning off the amplifier.

MAKE SURE U HAVE ALL OF THE COLORS MATCHED UP ON THE WIRES

OK, this is pretty easy to do. First connect your leads from the component outputs(i.e., tape, cd, phono, etc) to the recievers corresponding input for the device. Then connect the recievers outputs to your equalizer, if it is a seperate eq. Then the outputs of that to your amplifier, then your speakers to that. Be sure all of your wires are connected with the proper polarity. These instructions may be a little different for your exact setup but basically follow the same order minus any device you dont have.
