Select Connections from the tabs across the bottom. Select WiFi. Find your own wifi from the list of available networks (SSIDs) and select and hold it. Then select Connect. In the next screen, make sure The Internet is selected and click Next. On the Configure Network Authentication screen, make sure Authentication is set to Open and Data Encryption is Disabled and click Next. On the next screen, click Finish. This will bring you back to the Configure Wireless Networks screen. Wait a few moments while your phone connects. Once complete, the status will display as Connected. Click ok from the top right section of the screen then close the Settings window with the x in the top-right section of the screen. Once you've joined a WiFi network manually, your smartphone automatically joins it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, your pc joins the one last used.

SOURCE: I have a Sylvania 7

I've got bad news: I don't think it is possible - period. Windows CE runs on an ARM microprocessor. And you have the exact same model netbook I'm using right now. Even if you succed installing that version of Office to an external hard drive and connect that hard drive by USB, this model number of netbook simply doesn't have to computing power (or possibly the right type of microprocessor, either). If you check the Minimum Requirements on Office Pro 2007, I think you'll see that it requires and Intel or AMD microprocessor. You and I are using an ARM propcessor :( Also, I was looking into the likelyhood of expanding the memory in this machine my wife just bought. It's a cute machine' but can not do as advertised. It keeps freezing when we log into Facebook. If I can't expand the memory, this baby is going back to the store. It'll be some little kid's first computer! Good luck!

I'M HAVING PROBLEM GETTING ONLINE WITH MY WINDOWS EMBEDDED CE 6.0

SOURCE: sylvania netbook with win ce 6.0 wifi will not

My little sister just got the Sylvania netbook. We had the same problem, then I found the directions. I don't know if it's the same netbook... but on this one you press fn+f9 at the same time (may have to press and hold). Then a little computer looking icon will pop up on the bottom right of the windows screen. Double click on that and then wireless connections tab. You should then see your available wifi connections. If you have a key to put in, it will then ask for it... then hit 'connect'
Hope this helps

SOURCE: My Sylvania netbook cannot to the internet or

please take a look at the detail below.

It is looking for apassword (WiFi Network Key) You have to double click on the little computericon down in the right tool bar area, the one with the two side radiating arcs, and possibly has a small red X under it. The red X indicates that it is NOTconnected. When you double click on that icon a window called RT28701 opens up,then you click on Wireless Information tab, then you cursor down to the name ofyour WiFi and high light it and click the connect box. Then another windowopens up called Network Properties. Uncheck "The key is providedautomatically" box. This will allow you to type in your "NetworkKey", the password that protects your network from outsiders. This"KEY" was set up when you installed the router on your servercomputer. If this does not work at first, turn the machine over on it's backand using a toothpick, insert it into the little hole about an inch diagonallyfrom the right corner of the data plate, this will re-load a new copy ofeverything including the WiFi RT28701 driver. sometimes thisdriver gets confused. See my TIP at: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7350901-fix_synet07526_wifi_flashing AdditionalInformation When I try to signon with the red X showing, I get "The page cannot be displayed If I thendouble click on the icon down in the right corner I elucidated above, RT28701opens up to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) with all zeros in the IP addressfield, and Subnet Mask, with no entries in the default gateway. That is a clueto me that the automatic sign on has not found a viable network, or needssomething else. If I then click on Wireless Information tab, the list ofavailable networks, appear in the box. The machine keeps trying to associate myprevious entered name site with my preferred site and tells me the signal isgood, but it cannot link up. This is a signal to me that it has lost my NetworkKey or that the softwarehas failed or both. I then click on advance and delete my preferred network andhit OK, this will force the software to ask me for my network again, and noticethat the preferred is missing. I click on the name of my network again and thenhit connect., then the Wireless Network properties window opens up and I caninsert my Network Key again after I uncheck the "The key is providedautomatically" box. I enter the key and hit the OK button. I still do notget a connection, so I reboot the machine, and wait for about 30 seconds andthe machine synchs up because the little RED X under the icon has disappeared. Now the machine will hook to the internet as long as I want to, but sometimeswhen I turn the machine on it will not synch, so I go through the abovesequence again. The secret is once you have entered your key and ask for themachine to synch up you have to reboot. Why? I do not exactly know, but Isuspect that the WiFi driver looses it You may also wantto look at the TIP http://www.fixya.com/support/r7679654-sylvania_syneto7526_wirless_keyboard To make your knowledge complete

Where is Flash Player for Windows Ce available?

It cannot use FlashPlayer, as those programs are made for Windows XP and Win 7. You have to use the programs that came with the netbook as it is an EMBEDDED system.

Can i get VGA driver for windows XP SP2?

Not on the SYNET07526 machine. The machine runs CE 6 which means all the code is embedded in a single chip and drivers cannot be added unless you recode and re-compile.

I \n having a problem that I cant download adobe shockwave or flash player please help?

Those particular netbooks are loaded with versions of Windows CE which is very very different from the other versions of Windows, so prgrams that you could just download for like windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, won't necessarily work on a Windows CE machine. Windows CE is a small embedded operating system that can have very specific features. The main issue you're going to encounter is that Windows CE can be "tailor-made" for each company that orders copies of it, so you will have to contact Sylvania and find out the exact features of the Operating System that they ordered from Microsoft. HOWEVER, I have heard rumors of Flash Lite for the Pocet PC working on the Sylvania netbooks, so you can attempt to download that.

Hope this helps, if not, please comment back and let us know!

Cannot get adobe for Sylvania 7'' netbook

No you cannot, as Adobe has not seen fit to develop a system to be added to CE. The Win CE system was really developed for embedded low memory systems such as telephones tablets etc. The Adobe products take a very large amount of memory and large fast processors, of which the 8505 found in most CE systems is not very fast, nor can handle any thing outside of it's embeded software. You have to stay with in the confines of what you have until some programmer decides to add a workable system to the CE system.

I just recently received the sylvania 7 inch netbook as a gift. It comes with windows ce,im not familiar with using this hard wear and for some reason i cant connect to the internet via wifi what can i do?

Windows CE or windows embedded compact is an operating system for minimalistic computers and have minimal storage. My friend had also that notebook but she just browse the features of it and later on she learned how to use it. Windows CE is not a complicated software it's a simple program and easy to learn. Good Day!
