You may have an unintentional trap in the line (an up and down up and down. Hose has to lay flat on floor to drain.

Why is water going to the bucket instead of getting pumped out the hose? Does this mean the pump has quick working?

It is possible that the drain hose is not properly positioned. It is very fussy about that. Here is a link to the manual on PDF. See pages 8 thru 12.

How to make unit drain through hose, instead of filling bucket?

Assuming you have a hose connected to the bucket for drainage, it is necessary that the end of the hose be lower than the top level of the bucket or the bucket will fill before the hose drains. I see many people who have their units on the floor and run a hose up into a sink and wonder why the bucket fills. Gravity works.....if you cannot find a lower place to drain the water then you must raise the unit up on a table or stand of some sort to get the bucket higher than the drain.

Water leaks out of the bottom of the humidifier and the bucket does not fill up. The water just leaks out.

Based upon my experience with the same problem on my Kenmore 54701 last summer: The condensate water collects in a plastic pan below the coils. This pan has a single drain hole where the water flows down into the bucket. When I suddenly found water puddling on the floor instead of in the bucket, I opened up the unit, and I found that the collection pan's drain hole had become blocked by "bioslime". I cleaned out the goo from the drain hole, and the problem was solved.

Danby continuous water flow will not work on a dehumidifier it still fills the bucket

Please try the following:
1) Remove the bucket.
2) You will notice a round outlet/spout where the water drips from into the bucket.
3) Remove the plug from the backside of the unit (you will now see a hole to the bucket area).
4) Feed a hose through the hole from the back and attach the end of the hose to the round outlet/spout.
5) Place the other end of the hose on a floor drain outlet.
6) Put the bucket back into the unit.

When the unit is turned on, the water will now flow through the hose instead (into the floor drain). When you want to use the bucket again to capture the water, you will need to remove the hose.

I hope that helps.

Dehumidifier emptys in the floor.

Check the float first - be sure the styrofoam on the bottom is still intact.  Be sure that you can move it up and down freely (and easily) with the bucket out of the machine.  If that is not bound up, and the foam is in place, next check the switch in the dehumidifier itself.  It's directly behind where the float goes - the way to test it is to turn the dehumidifier on and push the metal tab in with your finger.  The machine should cut out immediately - if it does not - the microswitch needs to be replaced.  (they're very cheap, and simple to replace)
