Usually, if you press the timer button again, it will turn the timer off.

Kenmore elite oven door shows door locked how to unlock it

How to Unlock Locked Oven Door on Kenmore Range Hunker

Quoting from the link shown:
Step 1 Read the display on the electronic oven controls, where the clock and timer normally appear. If the display reads "CLN" while the "Door Locked" light is on, the Kenmore range is in self-clean mode. When the Kenmore range is in self-clean mode, you must stop the cleaning process before the door will unlock.
Step 2 Stop the self-cleaning process by pressing and holding the "Stop/Clear" button for three seconds. The oven lock should disengage after three seconds. In some cases, a malfunction between the control panel and the locking mechanism prevents the door from unlocking.
Step 3 Hold the light switch for several seconds if the "Stop/Clear" button fails to unlock the range door. Engaging the light switch for several seconds resets the entire locking mechanism and overrides the "Stop/Clear" button.

My Kenmore oven won't work there is a PF 5AB error

The PF on your control indicates a power failure and should be removed by pressing the cancel button. The 5ab code indicates the range is in the SABBATH mode.

If a power failure occurs when the SABBATH mode is set, the oven will return to the OFF mode and will turn the power OFF to the oven.

To ENABLE SABBATH mode:

* Open the oven door
* Press STOP/CLEAR
* Press both the HOUR "UP" and "DOWN" arrow pad at the same time - and hold for 5 seconds.
SAB ON will disappear from the display.

To disable SABBATH mode: Repeat the steps above and SAB OFF will appear.

To set the SABBATH mode for use during the SABBATH/Holidays:
* Press BAKE
* Pres TEMP "UP" and "DOWN" Arrow pad to enter a different temperature other than 350 degrees. (Between 170F and 500F)
* Press COOK TIME
* Press HOUR/MIN "up" or "down" arrow to set cook time
* Press DELAY START to set a delayed cook time (optional)
* Press and hold TIMER OFF for 5 seconds
SAB will appear on the display indicating it is ready.
* Press START
* To STOP cooking - press STOP/CLEAR
* To exit the SABBATH mode and return to normal operation - press and hold TIMER OFF for 5 seconds.

Door will not unlock after self clean.

It's probably the timer motor which is stuck. unplug the range!! I recently had the same problem with my whirlpool (hereinafter known as **** inc.) range. Self cleaned the oven and then the door wouldn't open. Googled up similar problems and generally found out that ****inc. had this problem on both gas and electric ranges and it costs an arm and a leg for a new board plus labor. Found out how to manually open door with coat hanger but of course still had problem with same error messages; also the oven, clock, etc wouldn't function. Took the cover off the back of the stove. UNPLUG THE STOVE On the left rear facing the back of the range he found the timer motor had stopped.He unplugged input(230 volt power) leading to the stove, then unplugged and insulated the wiring to the timer motor and the microswitch on top of it ( 4 wires). Then he took the long steel wire off of it and unlatched the oven door. Told me that this probably had something to do with the timer motor on the self cleaning cycle and that it was stuck Said this whole thing could probably be fixed with a bit of WD40. Said probably nothing wrong with board but it sure must be a moneymaker for **** inc. The service techs probably clean the timer motor, say they changed the $300 board, and go on their way. Plugged stove back up and voila! Everything worked except self cleaning function. Hope this helps someone. caution!!!! Do NOT use the self cleaning function unless you fix the timer motor. Replace it or clean it.
