your model probably has a coating of a black tar-like substance on the inside of the inner door, which, by design, reduces noise. However, LG failed to notice the corrosive properties of the black tar-like layer. Your wiring harness is probably corroded by the soundproofing, and you will need a new inner door, wiring harness, and circuit board. LG extended my parts warranty because they know it's their fault, Call them at 1-800-243-0000. They will recommend an LG warranty repair certified technician in your area to come out and confirm this. They probably won't extend the warranty until after the tech checks out ur unit. However, labor will be your responsibility.

Steps to fix OE are as follows:
-Check the Drain Hose is not kinked or blocked.
-Are all wiring connections OK?
-The drain outlet of sump is blocked.
-The Drain Pump/Motor or circuit has failed.
To check the pump motor:
-Measure the electric resistance of Drain Motor. (best between 20-40 ohms)
If out of range, replace the Drain Motor or repair the Circuit.
Good Luck! Please report back your findings.

Well done by resolving this problem. The other way to avoid the siphoning problem through the drain hose is adding an air gap valve/connector (available at any hardware store). You can use it even if you don't have a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink. That will assure that you have the proper height of the drain hose.
Hope this helps!
