Freezer runs a couple days and then shuts off

seal around freezer door may be warped/old/cracked... or thermostat is not working properly.

Try duct taping door as tightly shut as possible and check around the time it freezes to see if that fixes the problem. If so, the seal (that has magnets so it will seal completely) needs to be replaced.

If that doesn't fix the problem, it could be a faulty thermostat in the freezer.

Try removing fluff and debris with a vaccum cleaner after unplugging power. Now power up. good luck

Ach, digital controls! It sounds like the logic board/panel is on the fritz. No cure unless you can identify the malfunctioning component and replace it.

Have him check the t'stat. And freon lines. I believe the t'stat is the problem. Are the door gaskets ok and does it seal properly when closed. The fan should always run, so this could be in the rewiring. I am assuming you will be working out of a freezer where the working temp is a little higher.

In a situation like yours, the freezer comes with a 1 year warranty covering all parts and labor from the manufacturer. On the machine where the model and serial nimber are located there is also a nunmber to call for service. If you can't find the number google the number to whirlpool, who makes kenmore.

float switch is usually a white plastic unit with a black rubber boot on the bottom. you need to drain the water out of the sump before doing anything with the float.

your freezer may be overheating due to the defrost for the freezer door, (mullan heater) is staying on. Most likely the door is not sealing properly. Also if it has a power saver switch on the side select it to that.

Please : - Clean up your freezer - set the thermostat to middle - check the fan for malfunction
There are many things that cause your freezer work abnormally.

if it gets cold enough and then shut down like it should but doen't come back on till the door or some movement shakes it a little then you have a bad themostat ,,,,,, replace it and you will be ok.
