SOURCE: samsung hlr5667w green screen issue

how surprising !!! I have the exact same problem with my samsum hl-r5667 which I've had since 2006. This issue happenened after moving my tv from my old to my new apartment. I read some where else that the problem could be secondary to a mulfunction of the twin-tuner. I'm not even sure whether our tv set has this twin-tuner model, but if it does then the main tuner which provides the main screen may be damagned, but the second tuner (PIP) is still ok. I don't know how to repair this, but I just read it and thought it could be useful for you too.

My Samsung DLP HLR5667W went blank. Just before it went out, I was unable to control volume/mute. I replaced the lamp ($175 a Walt's ripoff shop) and the TV worked for four hours then died again

I would guess that it could be the main board going bad. Check all our connections and wiring. You should call places like Tri-State Module and they can probably send you a part or repair for way less than 500 bucks.

Green lines on screen

That symptom is caused by a bad dmd board. This will help: make sure you use all digits of model number when you order or lookup parts. This is located on a sticker on the side of your set. Also, you can price "rebuilt" light engine or dmd assy. and check for core value of your defective one. Good luck, Russmann.

Green Screen

If set displays intermittent green outlines around images, check DVI cable attached to DMD board from digital board. Poor connections on the DVI jack on the DMD board can cause the intermittent symptom. Pull up slightly on the body of the DVI cable connector and check video. Replace DMD board as necessary.
