OK, the wiring that you should have in your RV is as follows: Red White Blue Yellow Green Gray.

This Thermostat will not work on this Air conditioner because the tstat you are installing is a 24V thermostat. The connections are as follows G = Fan, W = White, Y = Cooling, RC = 24V Cool, RH = 24V. The only thing that I can think to do is hook it up like so.

On the G Terminal, Hook up the Green wire from the wall. On W, hook up the White wire, Y, hook up the yellow wire. RC = run a jumper from the RH terminal, RH = hook up the red wire. If this doesn't work then you will have to go back with the coleman thermostat.

This is the first time we have used the heat in our Forest River Puma Travel Trailer. When we turned it on, the smoke alarm started to chirp. There is a newness like dust burning off smell to the heated...

Usually if it's new, there will be some burn off. Make sure propane detector and smoke alarm, as well as carbon monoxide detector, if you have one, are working. Smell and any smoke should burn off after running a while, if not have it checked to be sure. I'd recommend running it with windows open and roof vents open and any exhaust fans at stove, and roof vents turned on for a while, then shut it off, let trailer air out good, then close windows etc, and see if it's better.

Put new digital thermostate in trailer furnace works a/c doesnt. when i hook up all wires with jumper on hunter thermostate the blower for ac comes on and stays on

Different manufacturers may use different color wiring so you will need to do some tracing on your own. typically, W=heat, Y=cool, G=fan, RC+RH=24v. The jumper should typically go from RC to RH. This is just general information and may not solve your specific problem. It is difficult for one to diagnose without seeing it first hand.
