I have a powerware ups 9120 and it gives an alarm indicating that batdisconnected
JUST DISCONNECT THE UPS FROM MAIN POWER.OPEN THE FRONT PANEL.PULL THE BATTERY BANK OUT SIDE .CHECK THE VOLTAGE OF EACH BATTERY.IT SHOULD ME 12 VOLT DC OR 13 VOLT DC.IF THE VOLTAGE OF ANY BATTERY IS BELOW 12 VOLTS DC REPLACE IT.INSERT THE BATTERY BANK IN UPS.PLUG THE UPS TO MAIN.
More than likely your batteries re disconnected or are dead. Read the manual under the troubleshooting section here http://powerquality.eaton.com/products-services/legacy/9120-info.asp?id=&key=&Quest_user_id=&leadg_Q_QRequired=&site=&menu=&cx=5&x=10&y=12 and be more specific about the probelm.
"batdisconnected" can mean a loose wire or a bad battery.
Disconnect UPS from wall power. Open the case and look for broken wires, a loose wiring plug, or corroded terminal. If everything looks good, remove a wire from one battery terminal and check battery voltage. If battery output is less than 5 vdc, the battery is bad and must be replaced.
Check the connections on the batteries. One or more may be loose or corroded. Also check the fuse for the batteries. It may have blown.

sounds like inverter is unhappy(causing the input fuse to blow. maybe, just maybe, this Powerware 9120 has given up the ghost? The inverter can short for a variety of reasons. Try to take out the battery completely, and run it as just a power conditioner. If that works, then you have an unhappy inverter in there.

Hi,
After you replaced the batteries did you perform a manual battery test?
If not do so.
