When going through the sequence of possible switch settings, the control works fine when pressing the button to select the next mode, such as low with light, high, high with light, but when the final selection is made, which should trun it off, there is a double click and the off position is skipped and it goes right into low.
Is there anything that would keep a motor running that would bypass the off setting?
Note: the pool is not up to temperature since we have discovered the heater coil needs replacing. This shouldn't matter, but I thought i'd mention it just iun case.
Thanks,
David
I take it for granted that you know when the tub is in cycle mode for water circulation, ( the tub will do this every 4 to 8 hours unless programed otherwise). If it is truly going into the low speed on the pump, the problem lies in the circuit board. The double click you hear is the relay for the pump turning off and then on again. This is a costly problem to diagnose as circuit boards start at 200.00 and go up. If it is the relay, the only way to replace one is to replace the circuit board.

I think I may have found the solution. I found a users manual online (I didn't have one) that indicates the system will automatically filter itself for two hours each day in low speed. I think this is what i was experiencing.
What model and age is the tub?
