The relay contacts are worn. Replace the relay first. If the condition is the same , look at the motor's safety overload device.

If it works, give the chain a good spray of wd40, followed by a good spray of chain lube or spray grease. Operate the motor back and forth, spray grease wherever the chain attachment rides the bar. Once it is working good and free, try to connect it to the door and test it. If it has a problem, check your door rollers and hardware.
