What does FF mean on the display, it won't change the temperature

You have not stated the make and model of your refrigerator. Therefore, I have to guess what the error code FF means.

It MAY mean there is a problem with the freezer fan. The fan could be defective and need to be replaced. Or, there is ice built up causing the fan not to operate.

Or, the FF error code could mean the temperature control in the freezer has failed and the freezer temperature is rising.

Depending upon the manufacturer and model number of your refrigerator, the FF error code may mean something else.

This is in need of a new console. This is the only way to fix the problem.

Topside control is in "Locked" mode.
If you accidentally locked your control

Hold temperature UP & DOWN together for 6 seconds.
or
Balboa 7 button controls, both buttons to the left of the display screen & down temperature.
or
One of the buttons might be stuck in the down position

Can you hear the motor running, when you press any of the Play, Rew or FF buttons?. Just place your ear very close to the player and listen to it. If the answer is 'yes', the drive belt is broken or slipped off. You have to replace the drive belt. If the answer is 'no' the motor of your device's drive mechanism has damaged, and should be replaced. OK.

The error should read O FF if that is the error then it means that the unit is in demo mode. To remove error code, refrigerator door must be open. Press and hold Refrigerator and Ice Plus button simultaneously for 5 to 10 seconds or until the display changes. This is NOT the Er FF Error Code. Error Code "Er FF" indicates a problem with the unit's freezer fan.

The freezer fan controls the temperature in the freezer. The source of this error is most likely ice buildup. As with the Er IF error, allowing the unit to thaw should resolve the issue.

This can be caused by frost accumulationon or around the freezer fan. Unplug the unit for 3-4 hours to allowthis to melt off. If error code persists, call Customer Service.
