Make sure your new flapper is the same as the old one and replace the new one the same way you removed the old one.

Water constantly runs in toilet. occasionally will semi-flush on it's own. How do I adjust mechanisms to prevent this?

change the rubber flapper in the bottom of the tank. This is the way water stays or leaves the tank. You can find the flapper by taking the top off the tank. Flush the stool and you will see the flapper come up . it is at the center bottom of the tank. turn the water off to replace it, and flush the tank after you have turned the water off to get as much water out of the tank as possible to replace the flapper. you can get a new flapper at any hardware store for just a few dollars

Water keeps leaking into the bowl and runs continusly

The toilet tank valve needs adjusting for a lower water level in the tank; or the valve is faulty and needs replacing. I can't tell you how to adjust it without knowing what type you have. Many of them have a screw in the very top which when turned will change the tank water level at which the valve shuts off the water.

I have installed a Fluidmaster 403 G fill valve, flapper and tank lever to the water tank in my toilet. The tank fills OK but after several minutes the water in the tank has drained out I can not see...

if no leaks in tank. push down on flapper when it fills up. if water stops draining then it is the seal under flapper that is bad. you can lift up flapper and put patrolium jelly on bottom of flapper. this may just seal it. or it needs a certain type of flapper.

My Crane toilet is slowly leaking into the bowl. It is not the flapper (which I replaced) and doesn't seem to be from high water pressure. Could it be the seal?

Check your over flow pipe in the tank to see if you need to lower the water level amount in the tank. If thats not it, it could be the seal thats under your flapper between the tank and base. Simple fix just alittle time consuming

Refill water doesnt stopkeeps running

could be that the flapper is not seating properly and lets the toilet tank slowly drain into the bowl..

clean flapper and drain to toilet in tank and verify for proper seating.

if it still runs, my opinion would be to change flapper.. (if new enough, then under warranty)

Toto toilet keeps running. water is going into the pipe continuously.I am stupid about fixing this.....or anything.....any SIMPLE help? thanks

Turn of the feed line for the water. Flush the toilet. Then reach in tank and pick up the flapper valve. Clean around the seat of the flapper valve real well. Check for damage on the flapper valve and clean it as well. Put the flapper valve back in its seat and turn the water on to fill the tank. Then bend the rod for the float down a touch. This will put more pressure on the water valve at the top of the pipe in the tank. If this doesn't work, you may need to change your float valve. They wear out. The ones you buy in the DIY stores generally have diagrams and good instructions for installation.

Kohler two peice toilet the water just circles and will not flush.there is plenty of water in holding tank that run through

These models need to have a flush valve flapper that has a styrofoam float on the lift chaninof the flapper. Go to hardware store or home improvement store and get a 'Korky brand toilet tank flapper with float 'ball". Cut the rubber ring piece away from the flapper and you don't need it (see cut here marks on flapper). Install flapper and adjust the float fairly close to the flapper.
When the water level drops in the tank and reaches the level of the float on the opne flapper, the flapper quickly closes causing the toilet to have a "surge" of siphon action which forces the water in the bowl to be drawn out.
