I recently bought an computer console xbox 360 From the U.S.A. And tells me that I have wrong area code.

Check the region code, but you could also go back to gamestop with the disc and tell them your issue. Since you bought it there I'm sure they'd be able to assist you, but someone may have brought a disc from overseas and its causing the issue or your wii is of a different region, I.e. you bought it from ebay, amazon, etc

From the System area of the Xbox Dashboard, select Family Settings, Console Controls.
Enter an incorrect pass code.
You will be told that your pass code is incorrect. Select Reset pass code.
You will then be shown your pass-code question and asked to answer it.

Your Xbox region code has to match the region code on the video games. Figure out your xbox's country of origin and then only buy games that come from that region. If you are trying to play pirated discs and getting that error message, than they obviously were not pirated correctly.

The only real solution is to have some "chip" your xbox and mess with the firmware. What region do you live in(us,europe,asia etc.)???

I'm sorry to tell you but there is no possible way to alter or change the region coding for your Xbox 360 system.

Well if you are technically inclined..and have a system with the correct kernel, then yes you can hack your system to make it region free. I don't recommend doing this. Your warranty will be voided and probably lose Xbox Live.

A vulnerability in the Xbox 360 hypervisor was discovered that allows privilege escalation into hypervisor mode. Together with a method to inject data into non-privileged memory areas, this vulnerability allows an attacker with physical access to an Xbox 360 to run arbitrary code such as alternative operating systems with full privileges and full hardware access.

Unprivileged code interacts with the hypervisor via the "sc" ("syscall") instruction, which causes the machine to enter hypervisor mode. The vulnerability is a result of incomplete checking of the parameters passed to the syscall dispatcher.

This will allow you to play region free games.

Unfortunately, there is no legal way to change the code. A lot of people modify their 360's (hack it), so they can download and burn games off the internet but I would strongly recommend NOT doing this. First of, cause it's illegal and also if you modify your 360 and get any problems with it, you can't take it to Microsoft.
The only way you would be able to play games from China is if you have a console bought in China. Other wise the only thing you can do, is stick to buying games in the region you bought the Xbox 360 in. Xbox 360's and DVD players are very different, there is limited number of times you can change the region on your DVD player, unforunately this is not possible on Xbox. Where your console was bought (for exmaple US) that's where you will have to buy your games. (Or at least with the US region code games). There are certain games that are region free coded. Such as Borderlands. But these games are limited.
So my suggestion is, either buy a console that can play the China region of games, or make sure to only buy games with the same region as your Xbox.

if the movies are pireted then you have to go to freeze.com and the vlc code downloaded on there and they'll play like a charm.

thats because your console is set to where you live,even if its flashed you need region free or your country!!!

go to the settings menu and if you dont see region right away go to system settings. It will either say region or locale, depending on if you have the new xbox experience or not. if you never had xbox live on it and you bought it new you have the old version.
