The hose is blocked, how do I get it off to unblock?

Hey, this is Tristan with Crucial Vacuum,

In order to remove the hose to start unblocking it, do the following:
1. Put the vacuum in the upright position
2. Press the release button of the telescopic wand and remove the handle from the hose
3. Push the hose elbow downward into the catch hooks.
4. Undo the suction hose by twisting it at the elbow.

If the blockage isn't in this location you can do the following to search further for blockages:

5. Open the service flap on the back of the vacuum.
6. Unscrew the screws and pull the cover free.

Below I have attached a link to the users manual for the Miele S7210. You should refer to page 30 to view the diagrams pertaining to my suggestions.

How do I put the elbow back on the power nozzel of a electrolux guardian

You need to remove the cover of the nozzle housing. Remove the screws from the bottom to gain access to the elbow. Remove the screws holding the elbow in place, take notice of where all wires go to insure you hook it all back up correctly.

We have had the power wires that run through the swivel elbow at the end of the main handle extensions and the power head break after being repaired two times. The new swivel elbow and wiring connection...

Have them replace at the Aerus Electrolux shop. Aerus uses a higher grade plastic (Lexan, read about it on the net) which should last the life of the the power nozzle and wands. The part and labor will have a 1 year warranty.

Carpet attachment with beater brush not working

Resolution for Quick Connect Power Nozzle: If you're vacuum is 2001 prior, chances are one of the two contacts in the power nozzle elbow have let go.

The elbow can be disassembled by removing the two screw covers. You will need a flat head and small star. Also, you need to release the retaining clip on the back of the elbow. You will have to remove the elbow completely if it needs replacement. You will then have to remove the top cover of your power nozzle. That is easily done by removing all screws in the bottom base of your nozzle. Once you remove your cover you should see 2-4 screws holding in the elbow

When you remove the cover, you will see metal contact rings and two contacts. If one of them isn't contacting the ring your power nozzle will not turn on. You can try shaping it back into place but from experience the new revised elbow that does away with that kind of connectivity is a lot more effective. The new elbow runs about $40-$60. Between eBay and Aerus Electrolux Dealer.

Hoover windtunnel dirt finder light stays red. We've cleaned the elbow the roller the hose and have a clean bag. The vacuum is new only had it for 3 months.

I'm not sure about a 3 month old vac, I'd probably go the warranty route. However, for the older vacs thy start getting false positives. The sensor is simply a microphone hooked to a computer chip detecting sounds of dirt entering the bag.
To rig it to start working, you'll need to remove the tool accessory tray and elbow that enters the back of the vac, and attached to the bag. This will reveal the microphone at the elbow, and wire that runs into the bottom area of the vac. When on, a large amount of air comes from the bottom screw and area where the wires enter. My fix was to clean up the microphone contact points a little bit with a screwdriver, and then leave the vac running while putting in dampering in the hole at the bottom, and around the back of the elbow. Cotton balls and electrical tape at the bottom hole, and napkins around the outside of the elbow (wedged between the back of the vac assembly and elbow did the trick). The schematic for the vac is here: http<colon>//www<dot>vacsrus<dot>com/CartGenie/pg_U6485900<dot>asp
Look for micrphone.

I need to remove the outer bag from my Kirby upright. The inner bag was not attached and there is mung everywhere.

In order to remove the outer jacket from your Kirby do the following.
Detach the top bag clip from the handle support. There is a plastic piece, just below the outer jacket, called the mini emptor. Turn it to the right to remove the entire bag assembly. Removing the outer jacket is dificult and even harder to put back on so this is what I would do.
Unzip the outer jacket as you were going to change the bag. Remove the paper bag. You will then see a long black tube, that has a 90 degree elbow at the top. That elbow is attached to the inside of the bag with a snap type strap. Remove the strap, then you will be able to move the tube, while you clean out the inside of the bag. When finished put everything back where it was.

Broken Nutone central vacuum unit

most of those systems are plumbed with PVC, but some do use flex throughout the home...
If yours is PVC, visit your nutone dealer and get a new outlet/elbow.
Trim the old elbow off with a drywall saw or other small saw (if you have a sawsall, that is fine) and glue the new one in
if it is flex tubing, it's easier; the elbow threads on. just be sure to hold the tubing so it doesn't drop down,

How to replace the elboe on the power nozzle

wouldnt recommenddoing it urself as it may have warranty. But if u have the head off and the elbow apart im not sure what parts u have. If u have both these taken apart. It is pretty much self explanitory. u need to take the prongs out of the one end. At the other end ot the wires there r two attachements. The end that is at an angle attaches to the reset button which is by the L shaped part. The opther wire attaches either directly to the small motor itself, or to another wire which has a plastic cover on it. The wires that you took the prongs off of the rest along side the little knobby piece and then you wrap them around the middle of the knobby piece. Slide the elbow sleeve over the knobby piece and then turn it so u can bring the ends of the wires out of the little hole in the middle of the elbow sleeve. When the is done attach the two little clips back on the the elbow the one on the inside and the one on the outside at the back of the elbow. reattach the prongs to the ends of the wires put them into the notches about the middle of the elbow sleeve. Reattach the little cover and ur done. If u have the whole assembly. Take p/n cover apart and reattach wires where they r already connected inside the head. Put the head back together. Sebo Air Belt c3.1 powerhead problem

Must likely there is a switch that is just dirty,(mounted on #31) that is activated when you the elbow is is down and when it is in the upright position. You will have to take the back end cover off to get to it and blow it out to clean it. Could also be the wires in the elbow, or where it hooks up to the wand and hose.
