Changing a Printing Shortcut turns mirror setting ON and OFF.

This printer is on my network. Last week, I put the printer driver on the laptop that is also on the network. Ever since, the mirror image turns itself on or off any time I change a Printing Shortcut. So if the mirror image is off and I change the setting from General to Fast/Economical, it turn the mirror image on. Nothing turns the mirror image back off except going to Advanced Settings and turning it off.

Does my HP Deskjet D2660 mirror image print

HI,
I had this same issue until i went to Control Panel>Printers> right click on printer in question>Properties>under General tab click Printing Preferences>under Advanced Tab click Mirror Image off>just in case that wasn't going to cure my mirror image turning right back on I went to the Printing Shortcut Tab and re-saved my shortcuts, checking back to Advanced Tab to make sure that the Mirror Image still showed off. I've had no re-occurrence of that issue since.

Thanks,

My HP 3015P will no longer print PDF files. This is a new issue. Anyone have a solution?

I'm having the same problem with three networked P3015 printers on a Windows 2003 server. They stopped printing PDF files last week. The universal PS driver from HP works, but it's a pretty ugly solution. I'd like to know why the PCL driver just stopped working.
Btw, we're printing from Acrobat 9.4.2. Word, Excel, and other office printing is fine still.

Go to Additional Function > System settings > Network Settings > IPv4 Settings >
* IP Address
* Subnet Mask
* Gateway

Or you can turn ON the DHCP on the machine, Additional Function > System settings > Network Settings > IPv4 Settings (you can explore on these menu). Once the machine has detected an IP Address, turn OFF the DHCP. View the IP Address and use this during installation of the driver to set the Port.

Can't turn on mirror printing to print an iron on transfer

You need to make the changes in the drivers. Click on start then control panel, double click the printer icon. Right click the MFC-210c and select printing prefferences. Click on the advanced tab and put a check mark where it says mirror printing.

Printing in Mirror image

Hi,

It's likely that you have an old outdated printer driver for your L7590 as this has been a long "known" issue with the L7000 series of MFD's.

To resolve the issue properly you need to uninstall the current driver version and then download the latest version of the software that isn't just driver/basic based.

You can extract the source files including the drivers folder using 7zip if you want to try and avoid installing all the additional bloat that comes with these printers.

Failing that, you need to define alternative quick settings to take over from duplex (two-sided) printing as this appears to have been incorrectly set to use mirror printing. Other quick settings have been implicated as well but the driver update should resolve all of them.

In some instances the driver update doesn't apply properly so you may need to uninstall and reinstall more than once... Remember to delete your printer from the printer listings and unplug it from the USB cable before you uninstall and reinstall to get it to work properly.

Hope this helps.

The (HP Descjet F2200 series ) is working ,just

There are settings that you frequently use for printing, you might want to make them the
default print settings so they are already set when you open the Print dialog box from
within your software application.
To change the default print settings
1. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Print Settings, and then click
Printer Settings.
2. Make changes to the print settings, and click OK.

To create a printing shortcut
1. On the File menu in your software application, click Print.
2. Make sure the product is the selected printer.
3. Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box.
Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties,
Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
4. Click the Printing Shortcuts tab.
5. In the Printing Shortcuts list, click a printing shortcut.
The print settings for the selected printing shortcut are displayed.
6. Change the print settings to those you want in the new printing shortcut.
7. Click Save as and type a name for the new printing shortcut, and then click Save.
The printing shortcut is added to the list.

If you don't have a copy of the manual click on the link below and it has many more printing (how to) instructions in chapter 7 page 34

Mirror Image printing

This is caused by an early driver version provided with the printer.

Download the latest version from the HP website, unplug your printer from your computer then uninstall your existing driver. Once that's successfully completely install the new driver version.

Unfortunately this doesn't always resolve the problem straight away so you may need to repeat this.

To check if you've resolved the problem:
- Go to START > Printers & Faxes
- Locate your L7780 printer
- right click and choose "printing preferences"
- choose the "Two-Sided (Duplex) printing" printing shortcut
- click on the "Advanced" tab
- look at the setting for "Mirror Image"... If you've succeeded this should now be set to "Off"... If it's "On" you still have a problem.

The problem itself is caused by some duff default settings which seem to stick whenever you've done anything that uses the "Two-Sided (Duplex) printing" Printing shortcut provided in the printing preferences.

In particular I've seen this crop up with PDF files...

The new driver does seem to resolve this but a further work around is to define a new duplex setting that has the correct "Advanced" settings and has "Mirror image" set to Off.

This solution also works for the K5400, L7580, L7680, etc...

To solve this problem, you need to set the mirror image to 'off' under the advanced tab of the printing defaults and under the advanced tab of the printing preferences buttons. We had this problem for some time and since doing the above this has stopped.

HP L7580 printer prints mirror image

  • Go to the Printers Menu and select Add Printer
  • Add a Local Printer
  • Create a new port - type: local port
  • For the port name, enter the share of your printer on the remote computer.  For example, if your computer name is superDesktop and the printer share name is megaPrinter, you'd type in \\superDesktop\megaPrinter.
  • Finish the wizard and you're done, printing normally!
