It could be the cartridges in the printer. Maybe it needs cleaning. Refer to this article How to Clean the Cartridges of the Lexmark Z715 in Windows. If problem continues, reseat the cartridges. Or you can try to use a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty. Thanks.
you might need to go to the IBM website and find instructions for your printer and look up how to clean the printheads on your printer or just look up the manual that came whith the printer if it did come whith any
check your print head cos that the main problem. try clean with wet close to remove dry ink. if dont just soak with warm water only part with dry ink ok. dont all print head. u can see all dry ink wove away.
It sounds to me like you don't replace the cartridges, but have the ink refilled in the cartridges? This can only be done so many times until the cartridge jets become plugged and therefore can no longer print. You can try appling alcohol to a q-tip and cleaning the cartridge's jets where the ink comes out, but most likely, you will need to purchase new cartridges and start over.
